Looking at the top 25 poll  all I wonder is how did a football conference ( how I think of the SEC )  become a basketball conference now looking through there are 10 from the SEC while the B10  has only 5  not sure why we cannot get better at basketball

Well.. we are a big reason for that.

This board is in for a rude awakening 6 or so weeks from now despite what you’ve been told for months by the self-proclaimed important people on this board. When May signs that extension with Michigan and Stevens turns us down (again), going to have to pivot fast. You’re talking guys like Ben McCollum, Bucky McMillan, Josh Schertz, etc who are complete crapshoots as next tier candidates. Give me Will Wade over those three in a heartbeat, assuming someone else doesn’t beat us to the punch.

What's the point in trying to convince us of these things? you don't have a crystal ball, my guy, let it go.

Yawn.

Will Wade would 1000% be a pivot fast pick.  Wade's NIL at LSU before NIL was legal didn't exactly light the world on fire.

Speaks volumes that you need to be convinced that a guy who has already turned down the job to the tune of 7 years $70 million is going to do it again lol.

He won damn near 70% of his games there including the SEC championship and finished 2nd and 3rd as well. All in a 5 year span. We're talking about LSU.

You claim not to be a self-important person, but you clearly think you are the smartest person in the room.

That poster knows the odds are a long shot, they're saying you will not change anyone's mind by saying we should stop talking about/hoping for them. People are going to hope, that's fine... doesn't call for a "rude awakening"

We're all going to have different preferences on our short lists... none of that matters.

Hopefully IU hires a real winner and things start looking different soon.

I can't believe someone needed that explained.

I was told I was in for a rude awakening last spring when we signed these portal kids. We were going to the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 just wait. Now we are in for a rude awakening for when we don't get a big-time coach.

ohhh yeah, he's the same poster that defended Woodson lol .... eeeeeeeeesh.

It's only six extra weeks to wait if that doesn't happen.

I'd very much prefer a 40 point IU win because Woody is gone at the end of the season anyway.

No thanks, I don't need any hope in the program, we have to make this nasty to expedite the process.

I think Dolson is going for the supposedly, untouchable, "All On Red" coach, Brad Stevens. I think we can establish that's been his master plan all along. Anyway you look at it, it's alot of words, "Sexy", "Grand Slam", "A+", etc.

It's hard to look past this possible situation. It's ok to dream big, because that's what Dolson is doing and will continue to do until Brad is, in fact, hired as IU's next coach or he says most emphatically, No!

I like where we're at, knowing that there's a chance, probably the best it has ever been. It also doesn't mean it will happen, but it definitely won't be without the best pitch and best fight of Dolson's career as IU's AD!

I think we are definitely in good hands now with Dolson and his intentions to find the best coach possible for IU. I didn't feel that way 4 years ago.

Buzz Williams would be a yes for me. Never occurred to me to consider the possibility but he is a winner. Definitely a guy who gets it.

Although I will admit, the fit seems odd. I can't place it or articulate it, but something seems off about it.

AK has spoken. If we don't get Brad and Dusty, Buzz gets the nod. Smartest IU fan in the country!

You seem confused. I was happy with the talent our money could buy.

Not everyone is better than Woodson. But many/most are. With Indiana resources we can and should be doing much better. We aren’t even into February and Woody has taken a top 15 preseason ranked team with a top 10 budget to a +12.5 vs our biggest rival. Projected to miss the dance for the second consecutive season. Literally let’s try anyone else with the confidence to take the job.

Grant McCasland wins. Just try a guy who wins and has some confidence about himself. Woody is sleepwalking through the season. Team is unguided, misguided. Done with it.

He’s kind of Gene Keady-lite. And his time at Marquette wasn’t any better than Tom Crean or Mike Dean both whom preceded him.

No rude awakening for me but thanks for looking out.  How long have you been on this board?  Me and Will Wade go way back on here

McCasland is 48 years old, at a P5 Program, and wins. If Dolson decided he was the best choice I'd be 100% for it.
