So, is the issue mental deficiency? That's a semi-serious question... at this point one has to start to worry about it. He cannot really be the dense.

I actually think he is!

I don’t know enough about knights early recruiting days, but he tended to bring in plenty of talent. I remember reading about him attending Damon Baileys games. After that it seemed to drop off but he still did go to games.

The story about RMK style of recruiting was that when he was on a in home visit he would ask the player are you coming to IU. If they didn't say yes right away he moved on to the next recruit. Most of the time they said yes especially the kids from Indiana.

Cook Hall. Woody shut it down so alumni like myself cannot even visit the history that once made us great. Taken into context with his terrible coaching, recruiting, motivating, etc; he needs to be gone now.

Woodson’s refusal to adjust to a modern style of basketball has cost us numerous games. Chalk this one up as another. Malik and Ballo cannot be playing together.

Woody lost the momentum and the game by inserting Reneau in the second half.

After the first half it should have been obvious he wasn't ready to play.

...could this possible "stalemate" actually be because all the assistants refused to take over as interim? I know it was posted that there was a meeting to discuss who would take over and Calbert supposedly refused. Maybe Ya and Kenya backed out as well.

I think it’s time he invests in a new practice facility tbh. That thing is getting old despite renovations.

OR maybe he make a time investment of his own into the basketball practice...

Woodson must hate winning because his abysmal lineups prove that

Should have been fired when Mullins said no.

Well, should have also been fired last year.

Then should have been fired when he ignored his media obligations….. u guys get the drift.

I'm sensing a theme here but it's hard to put my finger on what it is...

Woodson needs to change his cigar brand? No, that's not it.

Hmm, he needs to play more golf?

Oh, Woodson should get fired! I agree.

Not knowing anything, but just reading these posts it sounds like Woodson and his cronies are just using the coaching façade to buy up as much Bloomington as they can

Well, it sure doesn't look like it has anything to do with rebuilding the IU brand in college basketball... just gimme, gimme, gimme.

He owns the entire area of jiffy Treat and that shopping center plus the new crew car wash. Who else has money in it? You guessed it.
And the lot the license branch is located on apparently

...how can any athlete in any sport peform at a high level and exude energy without a coach that models the same thing? Am I missing something? Where in the h#ll does he fit into this model?

I'd really love to know how much nil players at northwestern or iowa get. It would help confirm just how God awful the cooks six million dollar investment in Woodson was.

I highly doubt there was that meeting. You don't go to subordinates to check if they want to fill in temporarily before firing their boss. You fire their boss then see who wants to fill in. Someone will take the position and, since it's only temporary, it doesn't matter who. One of them would see this as a way to jumpstart their career to move from a role as AC to HC.

Right. No way that happened

Ken Bikoff -

#IUBB has now given up at least 52 points in a half four times this year. Louisville (52), Gonzaga (57), Illinois (60), and Northwestern (54). IU has scored 50-plus points in a half just twice against Eastern Illinois (54) and Sam Houston (55).

They should stay with the game plans against NEB and IA and give up over 40 each half.
