Who was trolling?

was on the Hoosier Sports Nation site... suggesting that someone would make a hard run at MMW. I'm guessing that even his mamma wouldn't make a run at him to coach her mahjong team.

Really with the whole BS thing again? Not falling for or believing anything related to that subject until I see it happen in real life, e.g. press conference, after last time. Sorry just can't.

I would love to have your optimism, but then why not announce it. Woody announcing he was retiring would instantly heal the fanbase which is incredibly fractured (but becoming less so with every bad loss). It would almost certainly prevent any major toxicity at home games which is inevitable right now. We have a one person recruiting class that isn't likely to get bigger. He has only two years left on the current contract and would need an extension as soon as the season is over. There is nothing to lose.

I simply see no logical reason to let this farce continue without his retirement out in the open unless it is not written in stone.

Heck, I would be willing to celebrate Woody the player, coach, and IU ambassador-- make a huge deal out of his last home game as coach.

Unfortunately I think his ego probably prevents any of that, or, his future at IU is not ordained yet and remains based on performance. Just my completely uninformed internet opinion, so who knows, I hope you and Stu are right and we (the royal we of negative nancies) are just chicken little lol

He ain’t retiring and he’s going to hang in there until the bitter end and force or dare the University to make a move, then he’s going out kicking and screaming.  It won’t be a good look by him or the University and he will try to stick it to them and the non-true fans, blaming them for him getting fired!  It’s going to get ugly, but I really hope I am wrong!  I don’t think so because he thinks he is entitled and his bruised ego will definitely take a giant hit!

Yeah, I just go off of what I know from reliable sources. IU was never going to get Brad last time the way they handled things (not Dolson)

IIRC he just works for the Pacers and was a guest of Woody’s for the game, and he posted a picture he should not have (from Woody’s perspective).  He’s not a big money booster.

You got it. The king likely thinks they can't or won't fire him. He isn't leaving on his own. He thinks he is owed this job.

He knows things are not well or he wouldn't have been hiding out in the Bahamas. He's been told the end is near unless things turn around. Not by Dolson but by people close to him.

Nothing against what you posted or have said in the past, always appreciate the insight to the rumors circling above my pay grade. Just trying to remain rational for as long as possible. As a first time season ticket holder (not great seats), I can't hardly give away tickets to the games that I can't make it too. I spoke to several people over the last couple games that picked up balcony seats near me that paid under $5 for tickets, even the Minnesota game. Waited a long time to get season tickets and now my enthusiasm to attend games is at an all time low.

P.S. I have 2 tix and parking for Saturday....
