I'd guess all three go to a mid-major for far less money that they're getting here. Of course, I'd also suspect that Woodson is using low-ball NIL to "crean" a few guys.

I don't even really count Newton cause we have no idea if he will even be able to play at a big ten level. He has not played in two years

Ware & Mgbako will declare but at least Mgbako should be back. 

Reneau and Cupps coming back unless something drastically changes

So 2 starters, 1 guy who played way more than he should have due to having no other options, 1 guy who didn't play as much as he should have but should still play only limited minutes, and 1 guy that hasn't played in 2 years. Why do I not feel optimistic?

Not everyone goes into the portal voluntarily. Some are pushed out. But also if a kid wants to play, he should go someplace where he can play.

This is my thinking, spring Creaning because given everything we have heard from Woody I think he genuinely believes he can rebuild the roster buying better players and be successful next season. We are like three weeks removed from the "inside-out" comment and a couple from "I have done my job" and one from "not enough talent." Cognitive dissonance is helluva drug.

This is my thinking, spring Creaning because given everything we have heard from Woody I think he genuinely believes he can rebuild the roster buying better players and be successful next season. We are like three weeks removed from the "inside-out" comment and a couple from "I have done my job" and one from "not enough talent." Cognitive dissonance is helluva drug. 

I still don't see how he is going to get any good guards unless all they care about is money. He has nothing to sell them but money

Kids don't know who Carmelo Anthony is nor do they care. Kids don't want to play in a boring offense that's bottom of Division 1.

Yeah, the "not enough talent" thing sticks in my craw. He had THREE 5-stars and more "stars" than anyone in the B1G conference. Maybe if he tried a more current scheme he'd have a chance. Or, just be stubborn and keep losing.
