Doesn’t matter how well you do in the non revenue sports if your revenue sports suck.

The more and more I hear from this football coaching staff the more confident I am that they will succeed at IU.  I am not talking making the playoffs but can see us consistently winning 7-9 games a year

Every college town offers those same type of establishments. Almost all players at this level are treated like celebrities. The coaching staff has to control their behavior

Hard to control their behavior from the golf course.

Dolson  has done a good job at IU. Most of our teams are really good or starting to look like it is going in tbe right direction. I feel like Woodson was not his hire and if given a chance would hire a really good basketball coach. It appears like he has a really good football coach and was allowed to pick the coach he wanted.

But he did give him an unwarranted raise, IMO.  I know statics, and a trend isn’t two points, if he would have done at least as good or better this year, than we have a trend and you might give him the raise.  By giving him the raise, he’s compounded the issue and made the buyout even harder

I actually don’t have a huge problem with coaches calling out their players, depending on the circumstances. Sometimes it lights a fire underneath them. Rick Pitino did it and his team responded by dominating Creighton. Of course, he’s one of the best coaches in college basketball history, so it’s a little different from a Mike Woodson doing it.

He kept one assistant, one staff and the strength coach.  Not sure that’s most.

Walsh, Hunter, Cheaney, and Marshall are from Miller, right?

Rosemond, Hill, and Hulls are the new ones, right?

Not counting Fife and Matta…

Calbert was with the pacers. He also hired a couple of development guys. And Walsh was not an assistant under Miller.

He still was on Millers staff

he was on the staff of Miller AND the Pacers?  I do not think that is correct.

or did you mean Walsh?  If so yes he was. So that is 3 which does not seem like most but I could be wrong

So under Woody, there are 12 staff. Looks like he kept 5 from Millers but that includes Cliff and Tim Garl.  So he kept 3 from a coaching staff of 9.

I think it is a good idea to keep 1 assistant from the prior staff if they can help keep top players.  Walsh was a late add/keep and Steven Surface had been overseeing basketball operations so I don’t mind keeping someone like him to help with the transition.

Calvert was never on Miller's staff. This is his first year back with IU. He was here with Crean a couple of years.

Walsh was.  Reading is fundamental.  Already commented

Watching Purdue at Michigan today.  There's almost as many Purdue fans there as there are Michigan fans.  This is where IU is heading under Woodson.  Fan apathy is going to set in, and attendance will be poor.  The program has lost any momentum.  A change is necessary.

You responded to a post about Calbert being on Miller's staff and you didn't mention who you were talking about

It also mentioned that Walsh was not an assistant.  I corrected it when someone else responded to me.
