Please drop the Mediocre, it is an insult to all the mediocres staying under the radar and hiding in their cubicle just trying to get by.

Is he even Medicore? 25% of Sleepy Mikes coached games end in blow out losses (15+ points). That’s quite literally awful and he’s doing it with million dollar players lol. These aren’t walk ons

I fully believe that convo would take place. But I’m sure the next line would be “just keep doing what you’re doing. We will get over that hump any year now”

How much longer can we milk this cow before leaving town?  Players are wanting a cost of living raise..:something about new cars.

I was about to say. What makes anyone think Buckner cares? I don’t. Buckner probably cares less than Low Energy Mike.

IUBB is well and truly irrelevant. It's like Madonna or some other grizzled old celebrity that makes desperate pleas for attention it no longer deserves. It is sad & pitiful.

Woodson is an incompetent buffoon. There are some talented players, but they appear dumb and possibly lazy. Ironic they have been owned by Nebraska, a fanbase that would gladly trade any/all success in every other sport to matter in football again. While IUFB basks in the spotlight and the basketball program is a shameful embarrassment. I haven't watched a game since the Louisville debacle and am better for it.

This is where I am:

We just can’t assume Woodson will be fired or retire. Woodson doesn’t report to Dolson. Woodson said in so many words to the hysterics that “he ain’t going nowhere” and that he will leave when Woodson decides it’s time to leave. It all comes down to whether Dolson has the cojones to make the move

Reason to move now rather then end of season is to hopefully give someone a chance with these guys to change it up. I don't believe anything positive can be gained staying in this toxic situation we are in currently. We are bleeding off the diehard fans now! who are these true fans I would love to know?

Would Dayton even give Woodson a second look? Doubtful.

I imagine they’d have a good laugh at the first mention of his name before turning over to the “actual list of candidates” page

This. The time to let somebody go is when you realize they aren’t the guy.  If you weren’t the person for your job at work. Would they arbitrarily wait till March to fire you. Hell no.

Dolson has given himself a ton of leverage and power with the Cignetti hire. If donors have to choose between Woody and Dolson - the answer is simple - Woody needs to go.

Exactly, that is why I said nothing is guaranteed except death and taxes!  He ain’t leaving on his own free will and he will go out kicking and screaming.  Although I’ve never had to deal with them but from what I have read, cockroaches and bedbugs are hard to get rid of and I definitely can compare MW to them when it comes to the University and basketball program

It ain’t going to be that easy!  Death and taxes!  There are ton of ex players, alumni, etc that holds Woodson in a high regard, Dolson has his work cut out for him!

Anyone living in a world that Woodson gets canned in the middle of the season is completely delusional.  I would love to see it happen, but there is no way in the world it happens.  We are going to have to endure this season and then hope Dolson pulls the trigger come the spring.   They are 8-3 right now and 1-1 in the Big 10.  I get all 3 losses were bad, but there is no world right now where that calls for his firing.  Going to have to let things play out.

IU will have to pay out Big Foot's buyout, but it's sure looking like these results are unacceptable to almost all the "stakeholders."  The one that may be holding out is gone next year.

I'm sure Scott is working on a short list of replacements.

Also a midseason firing won't happen.  The rest of the staff is pretty bad, it wouldn't help much anyway.

Yea. It's pretty clear he is not the guy, but they are not firing a coach in December at 8-3. We will muddle through the season, beat some teams at home, finish middle of the pack Big Ten and on the NCAA bubble. And then hopefully a rational choice is made after the season.
