Fun fact my uncle Brian played for Marian in the early '70s.  In 1971 sectional championship game he outscore Kent Benson 25-24 but lost.

I think it will. IU will hopefully get off to a better start. That said Marian has some guys that can play and they’ll push the tempo offensively.

Valpo isn't exactly the measuring stick.

FWIW, Valpo has lost exhibitions to U Indy two of the last three times they've played.  The one time Valpo did beat U Indy it was 75-57.....and that was the year Valparaiso went 30-7 and made it to the NIT final.

I'm talking about in football.  I'm talking about Valpo football losing to Indiana Wesleyan football.  A very bad football team at a high losing to a really good football team at a lower level. 

I know we like to pretend that Memorial Stadium only exists for tailgating but sometimes stuff happens inside the building a couple of Saturdays every fall.

Not surprised by Sparks.  It looked really bad. Still appears to be nothing major, but hard not to keep an eye on this one.
