2 things:

A) Pretty tough to see him bailing on a LOI with Dan Hurley, but DeVries being able to walk in and offer: 1) the chance to go where he really wanted to be, 2) being a cornerstone of rebuilding the IUBB legend and becoming one himself in the process, and, 3) minutes and shots until his tongue’s dragging the ground, and 4) having way more money, makes for a pretty compelling argument.

B) God, how brutal an indictment of Woody would a Mullins flip be? If DeVries with no previous relationship with him can pull that off, yeah he looks like a hero for good reason, but that’s basically the kid saying  “I’d have stayed home for anyone but that guy.”  That would be one giant F you.

I think listening to DDV at all is a massive F you to Woodson. JMO

That pretty much what happened with Eric Gordon. He didn't want to play for Davis. When Davis got fired it gave us a chance if getting Gordon since he loved IU

Kind of like Gordon and Davis.

My question does these recruits enter some of the NIL before they get to campus. If they do then I think it would be pretty bad to decommit for another school. Why I ask is my great nephew has heard that Mullins has already got some of his money but didn't know if it is true.

Given the number of decommits that occur -- especially with coaching changes -- I don't think that is an issue.

IN high school athletes are prohibited from receiving NIL, so that would be a problem.  And don’t believe college student-athletes can receive NIL/rev share until they are enrolled.  But I’m sure Mullins knows what he is due to receive from UConn.

Yes, I believe in Indiana high school athletes can't receive NIL and stay eligible.  But in many states they can.

bump.  This has gone quiet.  With the Conwell, Dix developments, is this something of interest still?

Seeming more unlikely day by day.

IMO nothing is going to happen until at least next spring.  Numerous reports we've been in contact with the family but haven't really heard anything more than that.

Spring 2026 probably, other than that, nothing will happen unless some crazy situation develops.
