Considering it’s a make shot league he’s really going to need to improve in that capacity.  And really focus on his playmaking in the meantime.

Not sure I thought he was ready to be a one and done. But people who know a lot more than me thought so and now it's up to him how it works out. Hopefully he gets the chance to reach his potential. Nobody in the league is going to cut him any slack, they are all fighting for their professional careers.

Yeah Jalen looked bad the other night. He might need some G League reps this year, as he is probably no higher than 3rd on the depth chart at pg. Still have high hopes for JHS

It's sad how far the league has went away to finding spots for good basketball players. JHS doesn't need to be a scorer. Just someone that can control the floor. Could you imagine telling Rondo he couldn't be on the floor with the Big 3 because he couldn't shoot? It'd get your fired. Or Andre Miller? One day the NBA will make its way back around to playing actual basketball and not just how many 3s you can shoot.

The nba is more skilled now that ever before and it will only grow more skilled over time. If you’re an inefficient guard you better be elite at something else if you want to stay in the league. 
Maybe JHS will stick around, maybe he won’t. Time will tell. The 49.2% TS he had in college won’t cut it in the league. As a LeBron guy I didn’t like the pick because I expect it’ll be a few years before JHS is ready to contribute on a team looking to contend.

Sure it's "more skilled." Yet at the same time, the basketball is worse and the IQ is down. The specialist are nowhere to be found.

There are still specialists, but they’re less common because players are more versatile. JHS won’t have to become a 3 point marksman to find a place in the league. If he was Yogi Ferrell size it’d be another story, but he has an NBA body at 6’6 with a 6’10 wingspan, though I’m not sure how well his athleticism stacks up right now. If he can play there will be a spot in the league for him. You mentioned Rondo in your statement about the NBA going away from finding spots for good players, but Rondo won a title as a key bench player with the Lakers less than 3 years ago.

The NBA is changing rapidly. What happened 3 years ago really doesn't even matter now. But there was a time Rondo was one of the best point guards in the league. Couldn't shoot a lick but he controller an offense with Garnett, Ray Allen and Pierce in it. The amount of point guards in today's game? Not many. Just a bunch of combo guards who get told to play point guard.
