IUBB v Wisconsin, Saturday 1/14, 1:00 pm EST on CBS

Good questions.  They hit the three pretty well and a good deal of their points come from there.  IU is going to have to defend the perimeter a hell of a lot better than they have.  They still play very slow (336th in tempo).  Defensively good.  Offensively, even with shooting threes decently, they are not as efficient offensively as they have been in the past.  Don't turn the ball over much.

What they don't do well:  unike Wisconsin teams of the past, they don't get to the line much as their interior game is subpar.   Despite the deliberate play and not turning the ball over much, their offense hasn't been particularly efficient (94th overall). If Wahl doesn't play, it gets worse.  They are 337th in number of free throws per game -- 14.4 per game.  And they haven't hit their free throws -- both Wisconsin and IU have hit 68.5% from the line for the year.

Thanks for the detailed reply! Everything I asked for and more. Don't like hearing they shoot the 3 good cause don't need two games in a row of that stuff. If we're going to turn the corner this home game needs to be a good start. Defend the 3 with a purpose and don't turn the ball over and I think we could win. Also don't commit a bunch of silly fouls

Call me insane but after several glasses of red wine. I see a path to getting this thing going. If we win tomorrow anything possible. Take care of home and win at Illinois and in a few weeks we could be ok. Tomorrow is a must win. I know many hate that but it is at least important or needed at a minimum.

Beers are flowing. Gonna get the IU basketball YouTube highlights pulled up. We haven’t won a big one on a Saturday in forever tomorrow we are due. I think as long as we win 2 of the next 3 we’re in fine shape. Let’s ******* go

Ok thanks for the reply. I think it's not a good idea but I think it gives us insight into what Logan is thinking and saying to family. Unless she just posted on her own feelings possible. If he is indeed disappointed and wants out then I don't see much harm for them. If one player is upset their is certainly more and they are playing like something is wrong imo

Dude's got to be the most frustrated kid on the planet.  Came back.  Looks like he put the work in as far as getting a man body. No clue if he can play cause he never sees the floor.  He's watching the train wreck just like we are.  He's got to be thinking "when am I the next man?"  Vents to family, and family posts.  That's on them.  But he probably should have transfered at break.  Going to be a miserable semester for him.

Yeah I would. I also would not play him the rest of the season and tell him to transfer. If she has a problem come talk to me but go public? Goodbye

Oooooh.  Not play him the rest of the season.  Is that a threat or a promise?  Like that matters at this point.  Kid is so far from the court he can't see it with binoclulars.  :)

But yeah, I get it.  Not a good look.  You either trust that the staff knows he can't play.  Which begs the question, why bring him back.  Or the staff is way wrong and he'll make some team pretty happy the next few years.

Watch for Hepburn to blow past our perimeter "defenders" and cause problems.

Just cut from one side of the court to the other, he'll be open for days because Kopp will be in never land and Geronimo will be watching squirrels or whatever he was doing against PSU.

A WIN today would be the first step to curing a lot of sins/ills this team currently possesses.

It would go a long way for team unity which seems like is sorely needed.

Not to mention fans are starved for a W.

Pull it together HOOSIERS….. LET’S GOOOOOO!!

Beat the Buck outta BUCKY!

Today is the day... Really the perfect game to gain some confidence. Wisconsin isn't great... They aren't a good 2pt shooting team but a great 3pt shooting team.. could be missing their best player... Also the kind of game to send even further into madness... Continue losing to Wisconsin... Continue losing because of the broken record that is this team... Who shows up today?

Big opportunity to go from 3-24 in the last 27 games against them to 4-24

The old timers like to remind us of the years when the Wisconsin game was a guaranteed win on our schedule.  Their program was a mess, and something like 15 years went by before we lost a game to Wisconsin.

It's harrowing when you realize that's what Wisconsin is doing to this generation of IU fans.

They all expect to win when they play Indiana.

I’d like to start:

JHS, Leal, Galloway, Duncomb, TJD

And see what happens.

If Bates, Kopp, Gunn, Geronimo, Reneau want to defend and make smart plays sprinkle them in.

get Bates in for Leal early give him some rope. Reneau in for Duncomb early to see where his head is.

We are supposed to be athletic but we don’t offensive rebound. What gives. Effort? Strategy? Intelligence?

I'd start JHS, Leal, Gunn, Banks and TJD.

Bench Kopp for the game. Bench Geronimo for the game.

Bring in Bates and Galloway for energy.

Play small. Bring in Reneau to the 5, he doesn't get it done, play Duncomb to rest TJD.
