Worst part about having so long till our next game is giving other teams a chance to catch our flagrant fouls lead! We need a few more

Lol but give Woodson a week to prepare for illinois and look out. Now he may be golfing with quinn for a few days' first before we practice.

I found a article on xavier foul trouble at Pitt and it was interesting. I am sure most of you read it when x was portaliing here lol. Wish I was tech enough to share it here. Basically it sounds like his coach was trying desperately to change xs behavior but couldn't lol. Sounds familiar

And if I read closely for coach and whole coaching staff that pretty much sums up how it shows in play and even in enthusiasm of pre and post game interviews.

They must have moved him.  He was doing the mornings.  You get my overall point though.  The morning guys would have hit us for it.  Jake would hit us for it from 12-3.  Then JMV would hop on and hit us for it from 3-6.  It would have been a solid day of the takes we are seeing on these boards being aired out the day after the loss.  I think a few days in between will soften the takes a bit.

They made the change in August

The Staff is low energy / looks uninterested and it reflects in our play.

Coach and staff made it into IU basketball kingdom and are enjoying status and financial rewards but lacking in ability and know how including commitment to work and hard decision making to run a basketball program on this level to meet required standards.

As I've said before on here, I've been an IU basketball fan since I was about 15 years old, in the early 80's. I think with every new coach, there's that period of excitement and hope, and it just eventually gets crushed. How can we spend so much money on coaches, recruiting, and now NIL and still never get over the mediocre hump? It's frustrating, and with every new coach, the patience just gets thinner and thinner.

At the end of the Archie era, I was pretty ambivalent about IU basketball. It has come even sooner than Woody. We have NIL money, recruiting money to go anywhere we want, and yet still cannot put together a roster that includes any kind of consistent shooters. How can our roster construction be this poor? St. John's is considered a likely tournament team, and here we are floundering around hoping to crack the top 100.

I know Woodson talks about getting IU back, but it seems like he either doesn't have the energy left in the tank, or just simply doesn't know how to get there. Simply saying we have to work harder is not a solution. What about working smarter? What about coming up with concepts that actually work in college basketball? He refuses to run plays to actually put his players in positions to succeed because that's not the way its done in the league. Supposedly, everyone is working harder, but the results remain the same. The players don't need to know what to do, they need to know how to get there.

Since the Frank Radovich days for me. Both, lack of energy and know how and that includes the coaching staff assembled.

How many of those were hook and holds? Not saying that makes it better, I just despise that rule.
Not enough for it to be acceptable lol. The last three were not

You find the state of the program acceptable?

Lol, do you then. It’s embarrassing.

Honestly, at some point it stops being “the state of the program” and just becomes “the program.” Maybe we’re approaching that point. 11 tournaments in the past 22 seasons.

Totally fair. And I would agree with you. We really are just another basketball program these days (Dakich’s words verbatim).

But Dakich said it so it can’t be true lol. Some people are so soft.

And that is sad!  Growing up I didn't worry about making the tourney.  I knew we would be in, it was just where are we going to play and who are we playing?  Selection Sunday was must watch!
