An offensive philosophy change this year; instead of low post-back to the basket feeds, we are running Princeton offense which emphasizes one big catching in the high post while the other attempts to seal and catch over the top:

A literally 50yo action. Love it. Pre-3pt days the initial screener didn’t fade to the line, he broke weak and screened for the corner who either went baseline or to the mid-paint. A lot of layups built from that set.

And built for Ballo, who is a good passer, a great screener in high zoom actions, the best big in the country in sealing for a catch either in the high post or over-the-top, and a terrible back to the basket scorer.

Yeah saw this and thanks for posting -- this goes to the several posts that we're not doing anything different, we are, as well as at least some units running one big. Offense still looks like a project in the works, but we are also creating more looks for outside shots (and Bako is looking really good so far.)

The South Carolina men's hoops team (at IU at 3 p.m.) and football team (vs. Mizzou at 4:15 p.m.) are playing at the same time tomorrow.

That just seems kinda weird.

My nephew went to USC. We haven't started trash-talking yet -- LOL.  In fact, he has season football tickets and tailgates and the whole 9 yards for every home game, so I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even realize we're playing in men's hoops.

Per IU’s game notes: Mackenzie Mgbako is one of three players nationally (Brian Moore Jr., Norfolk State; Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton) to average at least 20 pts while shooting 70% from the floor, 60% from 3 and 90% from the free throw line.

And his defense has gone from horrendous to just really bad. I'll see myself out. ; )

Below is the best possible response to Dakich's post. The response inadvertently completely owns Dakich.

I sincerely hope that as an IU alum, Dakich takes the advice from this response and proceeds according to it:
