Pagoda Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Will make the jerseys more ugly, but I guess I’ll take the sponsor $ vs shaking down the fans with higher ticket prices and donation asks (though those probably won’t really stop honestly). Home Jersey 1 Quote

Fans never see the benefit of the owners/teams/schools making more money besides upgrades in facilities. Prices will still go up until fans don't show up. There is never a trickle down effect. Sometimes they spend wisely, like Cig and staff, who are very expensive, and the fans benefit. But, sometimes they don’t spend wisely as we know… Quote

Either/or or yes/and? I see this as an additional source of revenue, and firmly believe that it will not cause ticket prices to drop or even stabilize. Mo' Money, Mo' Money. Home Jersey 1 Quote

Not going to drop, but at best maybe increase a little more slowly. Regardless, I want IU getting as much sponsor money as possible. We need it to spend on all sorts of stuff across the athletic dept. Quote

My point is the extra money is never used to lower costs for the fans to attend, if anything, it's the opposite. Hovadipo, AZ Hoosier and Pagoda 3 Quote
