Alford Bailey Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 I’ll take a 2 point game at this point. TJD needs to step up big time lillurk 1 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 I would come out in the second half with Thompson guarding Cockburn at least initially. yogisballin 1 Quote
lillurk Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 On the Plummer three near the end of the half where he was fouled, he caught, pump faked, clearly moved both feet: no travel called. Easy to exaggerate but that’s probably a top 5 all-time travel no call I’ve seen, and neither Benetti nor Hummel mentioned it, either. LIHoosier, yogisballin and Josh 3 Quote

Josh Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 It's the simple things that make me like Woody. When XJ had the ball in the backcourt at the end of the half, Woody told him to cross the line before taking instruction. We saw Archie cause backcourt violations by talking to our guards in the backcourt. I'm so happy to have a smart man as a coach again. Joe_hoopsier 1 Quote
Dave from Dayton Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 With the way Cockburn throws his elbow and walks, IU missing shots and free throws, and TJD's fouls...we are fortunate that we are ahead. mark1981, ellen.walden and Josh 3 Quote

Kid worked his @$$ off on that end for positioning and that’s what it’s all about. Kofi was definitely frustrated with it Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Agree. Especially with tjd as a weak side blocking threat. Having tjd guard the big has gotten him in foul trouble twice now Quote

CrossboneIU22 Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 I like Woodson, but if he start TJD on Cockburn to start the half, that is just flat out BAD COACHING. He did it with TJD/Edey in the Purdue game, lets hope he learned something, but the first half suggests otherwise. yogisballin and sirbrianwilson 2 Quote
DWB Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 Race is proving my point from a few days ago. You play "prevent" defense on a scorer, and you can drastically change the game. Parker's problem is that he doesn't play defense until AFTER his man has the ball. Galloway is a master at blowing up screens and playing prevent defense. He needs to start showing the other guys how to do it. Dave from Dayton, ellen.walden and HoosierTrav 3 Quote
CrossboneIU22 Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 After his 1st foul of the game, Coach should have switched him off or Cockburn and moved Rayce to him. Or started the game with that defensive assignment. Dave from Dayton 1 Quote

The ncaa refs are hands down worse. They constantly dictate the pace of the game and are the most inconsistent in any major sport. Zero flow to an NCAA game. B1G refs may be the worst of them all. lillurk Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 I can’t recall IU guarding a stretch big with TJD this year and if he’s not on Cockburn he’ll be guarding one. So don’t hold your breath that Race will start the half on Kofi Quote
