The article is very optimistic.

Nothing to do with the micro fracture issue; an old meniscus injury clean up.

I am so confused about what the actual injury is/was... what exactly he had surgery on the first time?... all of it. Very confusing.

Best thing I could tell the kid... go to Bloomington Bone and Joint for his sports injuries, they're great.

That’s not a cast, right? Am I crazy? It’s a brace.

It looks like the same brace he was wearing during his high school season last year. He was able to play in it, which is pretty nuts when you look at it.

3 things from this: 1) Have thought of Woody in a lot of different  ways, but never “humble”. 2) His mom’s name is Bettina and she runs a non-profit that works with special needs kids at the early elementary level. She is objectively awesome. 3) That 18yo kid’s voice.

Lol Woodson - humble :)

and yeah that voice - not a college “kid” — Barry White?

Pretty good little interview from some kid in the Media School, though he’s really got to work on the voice. Not sure why because there’s nothing exactly new here, but I found this interview a touch discouraging. Maybe because I’m such a fan of the kid and his talent and he’s now had 2 surgeries at 18. We’ll see.

Channeling a bit of Rod Serling (from The Twilight Zone fame) with the weird head angles and strange cadence?

Not that it’s unexpected, and it’s certainly the right course, but disappointing nonetheless. By next June workouts it will have been basically 2 years since the kid played meaningful ball.

I hope he's at least paying attention in film sessions and watching practices so he at very least has a very good understanding of the system when he's ready to play. He'll be rusty but understanding what to do would help.
