Fred Glass blew nothing but smoke at us when he told us who he was looking for in a coach.  Dolson isn't going to do that.  Here's what he said he was looking for:

What’s important to us is that it’s a style of play that recruits want to play in and that recruits see that they can see themselves in, but then also is really on the cutting edge of where is basketball going, where is college basketball going, and as you can see, basketball is different than it was three years ago, four years ago, six years ago in terms of how it fits into the NBA and moving on and playing professionally.

I don't think that fits Beard as our next coach.

Miller didn't fit what Glass said he was looking for.

Personally I could care less about style. I care about winning. Chris Beard's style hasn't seemed to matter to recruits.. He pulled the 11th ranked class last year. Even beat Archie for a recruit in Jahmius Ramsey

Beard is going to cost a fortune.  Is he worth it?

Hard to say, a lot of it revolves around a final four run for him in 2019. How does he do in the tournament this year?

He’s made the tourney 3/4 times it’s been played since going there and made the EE 8 the year prior to going to the title game. So far he’s 3-0 in the first round of the tourney.
Also won the regular season conference title in 18-19 which may have been the one that ended Kansas streak.

I’d be happy if he was our coach, but at what cost?  Is he worth 6 or 7 or can we get him for the slight raise to 5?

Isn't he making 6 million a year? I mean it's not really my money, if IU wants to toss 7 million at him be my guest

I could care less what we pay him if he wins.

I agree it’s going to be interesting because he already makes 4.7 or close, I wouldn’t want to be the one making the decision. I guess I would because I’m desperate but I agree is it worth it?
