You can get some really sensitive refs. I've seen people kicked out of games for some really stupid reasons, but also people that should've been kicked out allowed to stay. In my experience, Illinois refs are way more touchy than those in Indiana at the HS level.

He is interesting, so is Lloyd who I guess doesn't love his AD.  Otz has the low buyout.  Few could be low on NIL.  Do any of these guys want to bite at top-5 or 10 NIL plus rev share at 2x the B1G conference average?  I bet our player payroll is $2-2.5M more than what they have now.  That's a pretty powerful pitch, but I don't know if it's enough...

I keep going back and forth between it being an active coach (which nobody has leaked per se - just speculated) and someone not coaching in college now (if Dolson has his guy). 
 

meanwhile, we’re in a coach search and may make the tourney.   Not sure it gets any better.

I have kicked coaches out of games but never any fans. The funniest fan experience was with Brad Lawrence who owns Goldcasters Jewelry here in town. He used to have a commercial that ran all the time that said I'm Brad Lawerence and I want to be your jeweler. He was screaming at me once and I stopped, looked at him, and said you want to be my jeweler? He laughed and didn't say another word.

Crean's wife used to yell a lot too.

I help with my son's third grade team. Our coach got T'd up because they were calling it very close for that age but also very inconsistently and not working with the kids on either team. Our team was on it's third game back-to-back-to-back and kids from both sides were getting distressed, so he got after them about it. One ref walks back down by our sideline and I say, "All he's asking for is some consistency for the kids." He tells me one more word and he's going to T me up as well. Following directions, I said not a word, but I did raise my eyebrows. Boom, T. 

Guess what though? Both guys got way better after that.

I wouldn't count out Mark Few. I know he hasn't been talked about by the national media but before the season even started there was some back channeling going on.

Agree to disagree on a Beard DUI -- our most visible coach continuing bad behavior and providing another mugshot for the internet/media is worse to IU than losing games.  We would look so bad and the DV stuff would get brought up again.  A DUI and I'd guess Scott gets fired and Pam gets the riot act.

Yep. Kelvin Sampson 2.0. He did it once. Hired by IU. He didn’t again.
