Darn I missed a good battle with Bobby's ghost making a butt of himself again! That stinks. I just keep going over all the coaches you guys mention. To me dusty is a huge gamble and unlikely imo. I can't imagine if he wins the big 10 and leaves for iu and we suck what the fallout of that scenario would be. Not sure I want to. We should have went after him last year! Steven's would have been the only reason to wait but that now looks unlikely unless isaactor can be right lol. Nobody else mentioned is doing alot for me. Maybe giving pitino jr alot of NIL is intriguing I guess

So it would be huge gamble to hire May because he won the Big Ten and might not be able to replicate that success at IU?

Remember at the end of The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy and her friends finally meet the great and powerful Wizard in the Emerald City, expecting him to grant their wishes? Then Toto pulls back the curtain, revealing an ordinary man operating machinery and speaking into a microphone. He’s just a regular guy, with no magic, no real power.

Now, imagine watching that scene and still believing the ordinary man is actually a wizard. That pretty much sums up this thread.

That said, there's no harm in letting people believe what they want. If they still think Brad Stevens is going to be the next coach at IU, so be it. Sure, most logical people see it as pure fantasy, but hey, people enjoy fantasies; they give them hope and joy. So why bother trying to convince them otherwise?

As much as you think they should let go of their false hope and fantasy, you also need to let go of your desire to make them accept reality.

Well said.

What other job could Indiana be "competing with?"

Indiana will be open.

Florida State will be open.

Miami will be open.

Virginia will be open.

I don't see any other Big Ten jobs opening unless someone like Hoiberg or Collins were poached.

Villanova? Syracuse?

Oklahoma

minnesota

villanova

texas
