I love that he Had Bob Knight on his shirt last night during the game. Not sure if he has been doing it since he died or not, but a cool gesture for the greatest to ever coach! There is more to this job than winning. I am embarrassed as a long time IU fan that any fan would ever want Chris Beard as our coach. He is a women beater and an alcoholic Banksyrules 1

Stevens wasn’t elevated until June 2nd and had zero bearing on some smoke screen IU offer 3 months earlier. Ainge was outed after the Celtics choked in the first round of the playoffs well after the fact.

And you think these moves just happen over night? 3 months sounds like about the right timeline for something like this to happen. Losing early in the playoffs just seals the deal on what they already understood was an option for them. The timing of when things are made public do not = the timing of when conversations are had behind closed doors. Honestly its just funny how you come in disparaging someone who has been around here a lot longer than you and contributes way more to the board than you do, acting like you're some omnipotent being. Your wonder boy insider just said that Stevens took IU’s contract to Ainge and that Ainge persuaded him to stay because he was retiring and was going to name him his successor. Ainge had no idea he was being outed in mid-March when these supposed contract negotiations went down and thus the plans to name him successor literally never would have taken place.
sweetpain Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 This is what happens when you continue to lose at the rate IU uis going. Win and all this info never gets talked about. Stevens takes IU contract to Ainge, says he's thinking of taking it. Ainge makes ownership aware. Ownership decides to oust Ainge for Stevens based on this info when they flame out in 1st round of playoffs. Or, Chris who admittedly does not follow the NBA so closely, mistakenly assumed Stevens brought the offer to Ainge when Stevens could very well have gone through other channels. Yes you are acting omnipotent because you leave zero room for opposing view. You won't just agree to disagree. The only place I saw anything was on message boards by so called insiders. Has it occurred to you that maybe some insiders on a message have accurate information? There are insiders, even on this board, who would never disclose their information out of respect for people who told them. Just a thought. He made a mistake because he’s sick, but that was then and this is now. It appears he’s not that same person and people should have a 2nd chance.
