It creates clicks for Gary. It's an easy post to for some media to make to stir up some engagement. Are there some jackasses in our fan base? Hornsby Posted March 14, 2025 Posted March 14, 2025 Losing McNally (I'm sure that Woodson called him that at least once) and replacing him with a last minute 5-star who underachieved and didn't work out was a perfect metaphor for Mike Woodson's entire time at IU.Yeah but last summer online tucker along with Carlyle and Rice was touted as the best backcourt in the big ten on twitter and facebook.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk cybergates 1

St. John’s did the basketball equivalent because they needed to take a short term shot. It’s paying off. They will need a new coach within a couple years. I guess if you are ok knowing it’s a 4-6 year cycle then it doesn’t matter as much. And people lose energy as they age not the opposite. So at that age you are probably getting the best version immediately. I don't completely agree with this... guys in Woodson's age group are still killing it, or at least doing well: Pitino, Sampson, Pearl, Few. Woodson's issue was that he had a bad case of entitled laziness. He wanted the title without all of the work... not trying to head back down the Woodson rabbit hole, but Dolson set him up for success as much as he could, and Woodson preferred to drink his wine, smoke his cigars and play golf... IU could do with another coach in that age range, assuming that said coach was willing to put in the effort in recruiting, developing skills and actually coaching... go iu bb, skhoosier2, Hurryin' Hoosiers and 1 other 4

Anyway (imho) a great break down of McCollum: https://x.com/CoachAdragna/status/1900367366476718285 I watched most of that video, and it's a good one. My takeaway is McCollum's offense can work at any level of basketball, but as others said it requires quick processing, good decision making, and unselfishness. Those are skills like any other that can be developed, and his success indicates he's good at teaching them. I also think his offense has the potential to attract high level players as the ball screen motion offense he is running develops skills that are really coveted in the NBA now - good decision making and proficiency at finishing both inside and from behind the arc. There are a ton of other coaches out there who have performed way better at the high level than Brownell. I didn’t turn on too many games this year because what I watched either made me laugh or hurt my eyes. It would be the same with Brownell when Painter and the rest of the coaches take him to the woodshed. @KathywithaC

Yea. Almost every well-known P5 bball player is going to have some wild DMs. People that DM them are wrong, stupid, and losers, but players are public figures and this happens when they're on social media. Same goes for every other person the public is familiar with in other walks of life. Thanks to Woody's crappy team culture, we've got Ballo mirroring his coach and thinking this is an IU-only issue. Now IU is getting smeared. Woodson is just so damn toxic, thankfully this is almost over with him. moyemayhem, theriverpilot and Parakeet Jones 3
