Mostly off-topic, but as a Northern Indiana boy myself- anyone know what the hell Scott Skiles is up to these days? He’s a former coach from the state of Indiana.  Not trying to steer things off the rails just genuinely curious what he’s been up to for the last decade.

Very unlikely...to the point there's no reason to even think about. Could possibly see a victory lap at his alma mater with Oklahoma State but even then I put the chances at slim to none. He's 62 with some pretty serious heart issues and has nothing left to prove.

Are you going to be upset if we actually hire a big name?

Yeah I don’t think KU fans are quite where UK fans were but I actually think this is a good comparison. 2025 Self is a better coach than 2025 (or 2024) Cal but I REALLY worry about downside risk.

Obviously if you can hire 2003 Self you do it. But we can’t time travel him.

Yea KU won a title three years ago and 17 of the last 20 conference titles!  Those poor KU fans, one down season and they’re complaining lol.

Yea I’m not commenting on Self, who I don’t think is at the right stage in his career to hire.  Just highlighting KU has had its first down year in like 20 years and it’s crazy they’re complaining.  And our fanbase gets the toxic and fishbowl narrative…

Mine is a former head basketball coach . He has a Tv set up every year in the teacher lounge .
 

My first year at the school he even came into my room and turned it on the old school TV I still have in my room to show me it still worked and I could watch it ! LOL he gets it!

Wade and Cignetti actually have very similar demeanors and levels of arrogance and cockiness to them. I love coaches with this kind of attitude. There's a ton of people (outside IU of course) who don't care for Curt Cignetti because of this.
