I don't remember the free agency conversations but I do remember when the Olympics started to allow professionals. A lot of the same things were said then as are being said now. Yet, the Olympics are better than ever, in my opinion.

Remember when the boards along the court became advertising?  Oh boy the angry chatter.  Remember the Big Ten logo getting added below the free throw line?  The anger out of the anti-change crowd was fervent.

Man if change angers people so much they should move to a uni bomber cabin and yell at the wind

Does anyone know who is on the 2024-25 IU men basketball and football rosters?  As far as that goes does anyone know who is on any roster in power 5 conferences.
(names may be known but hardly anyone knows anyone).

DJ Wagner to Arkansas

Boogie Fland, DJ Wagner, Johnuel Davis, Thiero, Aidoo, and Big Z plus some Star freshman. Borderline top 10 roster for Cal but no one ever doubted that.

Chaz Lanier (North Florida, 6'4" guard, 19.8 ppg) chooses Tennessee over Kentucky.

In the Big Ten, PJ Hayes (San Diego, 6'3" guard, 10.5 ppg, 3.1 reb, shot 43/40/79, bulk three point shooter) transfers to Rutgers.

Xavier Foster, once a promising recruit (103rd in the class of 2020, 7') played a year at Iowa State and two years at SMU, scoring a grand total of 32 points in 21 games in his three years) transfers to Radford.

32 points in 21 games over a 3 year career tells me that either the kid has been injury prone. Or he’s not D1 quality. Can’t teach 7’

Isaiah Miranda (7’1” center, Oklahoma state), transfers to Green Bay.  Was the 45th ranked recruit in 2022;  freshman year at NC State where he did not appear in a game, sophomore year at Oklahoma State where he played only 8 minutes before leaving the team in January.  Has said to be dealing with not only injuries but personal issues as well.

JT Toppin (New Mexico), one of the best remaining bigs, commits to Texas tech

On3 tracking of transfers:

2022 transfers:  866 entered the portal;  660 transferred, 11 withdrew.  That leaves 189 that did not find a new place to play (22%)

2023 transfers:  1,115 entered, 536 transferred, 10 withdrew.  That leaves 569 that did not find a new place to play (51%)

2024 transfers:  1,089 entered, 789 transferred, 10 withdrew.  That leaves 290 that haven't found a new place to play (yet) (27%)

My guess is 2024 will become the norm -- lots of transfers with most finding new homes.  2023 there were still a lot of players with their extra covid year left so fewer spots to fill.

Baba Miller (Florida State), commits to Florida Atlantic.  6'11" stretch four, averaged 7.6 points and 4.9 rebounds at Florida State last year, starting all but one game.  Ranked 49th in the class of 2022 but has had struggled from three, making only 28% through two seasons.  Two years of eligibility left.

Would have liked to get him. (Initially. I knew after Hatton it wasn’t a reality). Certainly seems we are standing pat at 12.

I don’t get it.  If nothing else, get a 6’10” big body to hold down the bench as an emergency option if Ballou gets hurt
