Me So Hornsby Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 They usually have a meeting this week and then mass exodus after the meeting. That's kind of what I have noticed under Woodson in the limited time the portal been happening Sent from my SM-A326U using TapatalkYep. Exit interviews and then decisions are made. Going to be interesting to see who enters. I think the common thought is Duncomb is gone and Bates/Geronimo may be gone. I’m probably in the minority but I still believe in Tamar and hope he sticks it out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk NVFalcons1990, coonhounds and J34 3 Quote
Me So Hornsby Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Compared to Kopp, he may give up a couple inches but he has to be more athletic.Definitely more athletic than Miller. But I don’t want more athletic than Miller, I want substantially more athletic than Miller. Shooting is important but we need + athletes in the worst way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Leading scorer from Air Force. Volume three point shooter. Averaged 15.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. Shot 49/39/87. Originally from Indiana, played at Floyd Central. I dont understand this situation as far as transferring would go? Is he not under an obligation to the Air Force? ALASKA HOOSIER and NVFalcons1990 2 Quote

It would be nice to bring in guys who are both shooters and great athletes would be nice, but really good at one is probably better than just decent at both. hoosierbgh 1 Quote

He already has something similar in Malik and my guess (or maybe hope) is that he is looking for a more mobile big. Someone closer to a Noah Clowney or Arrinten Page type with some versatility. I would thing it’s more likely that if he does bring in a big with no ability to shoot from outside that it would likely be someone to backup Reneau. Sparks isn’t looking to go somewhere as a backup. If IU reaches out to either of those kids, we need to recalibrate our thinking because our assumptions about Woody’s vision of the program are flat wrong. Bates has shown the ability to play good defense in stretches though, we definitely need to bring someone in but I think the potential is still there for BatesSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk NVFalcons1990 1 Quote

Popular Post Uspshoosier Posted March 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 22, 2023 Dark side of the portal is how it affects high school seniors and their recruitment. Brady Dunlap a top 150 kid who reopened because of the coaching change at Notre Dame talked about how the portal has messed with his recruitment. He doesn’t even want to say which schools are recruiting. Said he has plenty of coaches calling but if a kid goes in the portal that they want that they act totally different. AKHoosier Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Wow. Lots of intriguing prospects in the portal. I hope the staff can close on a few of them. I know who my wish list is, but it never plans out that way so why bother haha. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

Interesting hearing his thoughts With almost no rules and adding the NIL it's going to end up as a problem for college basketball. A transfer here and there and the ability of guys to play under certain circumstances without sitting a year is good. Massive team upheaval every year, not so good. jonz44 1 Quote
