BUT it turns our their roster construction had its own issues (streaky shooting + offense stalled completely when 3s didn't fall, weak rebounding + interior defense). And yes I believe making the tournament is the bare minimum but we should strive for more. Roster construction was poor, I have guarded optimism that this year it can be better. I will say that spending top 10-15 money is nice but doesn't guarantee jack ****. Spend wisely and get guys that fit together in your system. I would say UL's whole season was a flop. Finished above zero good teams in the ACC. 24-11 overall... Tennessee drubbed them, Arkansas beat them... Their best win was at Miami, who beat them 5 days later in the ACC tourney. They won at Cinci, home against Kentucky, neutral vs IU, home against NCST by a lot.... and that's it. Loss to a bad Stanford team Duke swept them and whipped them once, UVA beat them at home, loss at SMU, loss at UNC (without Caleb Wilson), loss at Clemson... in truth, I'm not overly sure how they got a 6 seed... regardless, pretty crappy year for what they were expecting and spent. I'm confident there were 6 better B1G teams, and probably UCLA, as well. OSU/Iowa are probably pretty close to where UL was... BtownStrength, Stuhoo, go iu bb and 1 other 4 Quote

Stuhoo Posted Wednesday at 02:09 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:09 PM When such an enormous percentage of quality players are simultaneously in free agency, it's a potential gold mine to correctly time offers and acquisitions. If Ryan Carr is as good at this as he's supposed to be, we can get far better value by timing an early get or two to show the roster's potential, and then wait until the biggest spenders fill key slots. There will be excellent players left on the outside looking in after the Michigan's, UConns, and Duke's pluck their choices. So so much like a fantasy football re-draft league. kottke 1 Quote

BGleas Posted Wednesday at 02:26 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:26 PM Hilarious thread if you read the comments on the original post. Bama fans blaming Michigan. Michigan fans pretty much admitting it's Dusty but they don't care. A couple Illinois fans complaining about Dusty taking Johnson last year. Even a couple Indiana fans praying that IU is the team tampering lol... CSP, str8baller, RaceToTheTop and 1 other 2 2 Quote

Home Jersey Posted Wednesday at 03:15 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:15 PM Most likely scenario IMO we spend big on 2 guys at PG and C. We money ball 4 spots. Two guys we think could step up and emerge as the third option. Two guys we think have a clear skill / role and can be had at an affordable rate. One spot for a vet from a low or mid major... or a lotto ticket developmental prospect. Euro options could be a game changer Quote

Is Rabjohns or Trilly reporting that yet? I seriously don’t know. It definitely becomes a game of dominoes but he is early. He also knows when main accounts say we are in on a recruit when we aren’t. Knows staff? Indiana ties? Knows agents? Idk. 8bucks 1 Quote
