I'd fall off if I moved any further.
No kidding I don't think I could want him out of here any faster than I do now. Plus I am tired of people on btb tell us how iu can never be good again as we watch **** programs such as purdue becoming good. If a dump school like that can become good why cant iu? Because our coaching has sucked and archie is the worst one yet. Fire him now

If anyone on this board or anywhere else thinks we cannot be REALLY REALLY good again?

They are really really wrong. Hell, IU football is a top 15 team. That's why I am generally not a fan of an established power 5 successful, end of career 60-something coach. That won't get us consistently into the top 20. It'll be a temporary salve.

I know they are really wrong. Every coach we have had since knight has found success here on some level. We need a coach who can find success and hold onto it. No reason it can't be done here.

Who the **** is saying IU can't be good again?!  Are we reading the same threads?!  IU can return to elite status, possibly faster than most programs in the country.  The issue isn't whether we, as fans, want to return to elite status.  It's whether the ****s that have dug this ******* hole because of all their BS decide to stop ******* around and ALLOW IU to return to elite status.  Before any basketball coach is hired again it's a shift in leadership much higher that needs to be adjusted.  Are we a basketball school or are we school with a basketball program?  My guess is they'll royally **** this up again and we'll be ****ed like before.  (Don't confuse that with us not being CAPABLE of being good again)

My question to most of you in this thread.  If Archie is back next year will you be back or will that be the breaking point where you will not follow until he is gone?  I’m hoping you will all be back even if he is still here.   Another question if he is back then how many pages will this thread be at by the end of next season?

It would be as if Billy Donovan went on a house hunt with Moses Abraham.

A lot like this year. I really don’t plan my days around watching the game. Then if at home and I see they are wining I tune in.  Wont plan to go to any games though until the product on the floor is better.

Yep, it’s not must see for me anymore. Life is too short to drink cheap beer and watch bad basketball, especially at the same time!

I will be back. I doubt anything could make me quit watching iu basketball but archie has really been impressive and testing that. Maybe after I pass the test this year he will start coaching

If he's back, then I won't be. I'm already making a contingency plan of sorts to try and find other ways to keep busy next winter so I'll be too distracted to follow the games.

People will probably think I'm being overly dramatic, but I picked up some new interests during the pandemic and found things I enjoy more than IU basketball. A college basketball program as privileged as ours that struggles to qualify for a 68 team tournament just isn't doing it for me. That could always change if we decide to start acting like an elite program again. An elite program, heck, even a wannabe elite program, doesn't keep a failing coach around just to save some money.

Moses Abraham Billy Donovan's house hunt long.

Add Romeo's 714 pages to Stu's list.

Not sure I could pay much less attention to IUBB than I am currently.  I stopped watching games and listening to Fisch in January.  I open up the stattrack in a browser window and periodically check in on a game thread and participate in Prediction League.   My focus would remain on following recruiting targets although hard to believe there would be much reciprocal interest with an obvious lame duck coach but it gives me something to do in the cold winter months.  And I'd still closely follow many other IU sports.

Lol you can’t avoid the score.   Like everyone on this board I’m sure you are considered the IU basketball guy within your family and friends.   I can try to avoid the score and game but I know how the game is going within the first 4 mins.  How?  Because I will get 5 texts from different people throughout the game letting me know how it’s going.  I would have to turn the phone completely off to avoid knowing the outcome

Me too. As frustrated as I am and as much as I want a change, I just can’t turn it off after 36 years of never missing a game. I’ll still be at SSAH as much as I can too.

I don't watch games now since I cut the cord, but I still check the score on my phone.  I'd still be checking the score to see how much IU is losing by.

I will always watch IU in the winter months no matter who the players are and/or who the coach is. If Archie is back I’ll still watch but I won’t yell or cheer at my TV screen and alarm my neighbors as my optimism next year would be at an all time low. Perhaps transfers would alter that outlook but I had more enjoyment from Crean’s first 3 seasons than Ive had lately. Those teams at least gave effort - I’m not sure I’ve seen that the last few games.

Yea I got youtube tv on my phone. Between watching the game when I can and listening to it in the car and constantly checking the game thread on here its impossible to wait till i get home.
