Popular Post Stuhoo Posted November 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2020 Some sad news to share: Read this morning that Colonial Crester, a founder and mod at the HSN board, very suddenly passed away last night. If any of you ever venture over to that board, there is a thread in place to pay respects. CC was not only a great mod and Hoosier fan, but he was always one of the first to remind HSN posters that no matter what board and group one prefers, we are all Hoosier fans. RIP Colonial Crester hoosierfan6157, Crimson and Cream, Stromboli and 13 others 13 3 Quote

Popular Post mdn82 Posted November 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2020 RIP CC. You guys don’t even know the half of how much that dude meant to HSN and ultimately the move over to 247 after leaving Scout. He was the driving force behind moving from Scout to HSN. Ultimately he was the money that kept HSN going long past when he could have let it go due to his love for this community. Every site was trying to get our community to merge with theirs for traffic. It was health issues that pushed that merge forward from HSN to 247. Us splitting here from there was obviously very touchy, but I think I can speak for the few of us that split when I say we lost a great dude that has meant more to IU forums than most will ever know. Man that was a fun time. HoosierAloha, Class of '66 Old Fart, JaybobHoosier and 5 others 8 Quote
bluegrassIU Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Thank you guys. There are no words to express the loss. CC always felt good about the friends he had hete at btb. A huge blow to all of us. God bless. mdn82, Stromboli, mamasa and 2 others 5 Quote

mdn82 Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Hope Ken is ok. Saw he hadn’t posted on it. He wasn’t young when we were all over there. I am sure this has him shook more than any other. Thoughts and prayers to his HSN and real family. This is a shocking one. Pretty sure he was my parents age so around 60. Surreal JaybobHoosier, mamasa, hoosierfan6157 and 1 other 4 Quote
Trish Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Terrible news. I remember him on the old Scout.com message board. Wishing the best for his family moving forward. I was unaware of HoosierSportsNation. I forget how i stumbled upon this fourm. I wish there was just one single IU fan message boards. There was always a rivalry between Peegs and Scout back in the day. mamasa and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Surreal Sadly, I was the one that had to call Ken and break the news. I have messaged back and forth today. Understandably, he is shocked and a bit of a mess. But seems ok, relatively. mamasa, mdn82 and WayneFleekHoosier 2 1 Quote

TheWatShot Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 I saw this on HSN and thought it was a reference to ccgeneral, there was no way it was ColonialCrester, because I had just seen a post from him a day or two earlier. Crazy how fast life happens. mamasa 1 Quote
