This group of guards is......dribbling is learned at a young age. How I am I watching guards not being able to get the ball down the court or make basic passes.

Honestly, IMO this team frequently shoots the ball like they're walk-ons.  It's almost inconcievable that a major college team can consist of such a collection of poor shooters.

Sad thing is if you take out the last minute of the half we were only down 3 shooting 21% from the field

Al should be better at handling the ball as a junior. Lander’s ball handling is much better and he is doing it at a much faster pace. If anything he gives us a legitimate second ball handler so hopefully we don’t have to see a sequence like the end of this half again.

They could have chucked up a 3 pointer every time down the court and have more than 20 points right now....what happened to all that crisp inside passing that they started the game with? Archie needs to understand that beating Purdue is not optional!

Hadn’t really noticed until someone pointed it out last night in the College Basketball thread in response to the Maryland game, but not sure I’m on board with Archie’s philosophy that 2 first half fouls gets you benched for the half. Race was providing some good hustle plays and checking Haarms well. Stapling him to the bench after his second foul seems unnecessary. Last night Bruno picked up 3 in the first half. Finished the game with 3 and Maryland came back to win.
