Lunardi moved IU to first team out ahead of UNC and Texas.   Had to make that move now so he can move IU into the field later tomorrow

And essentially admits that we should be in with the note that the bubble will gain another spot at the conclusion of the MW final.

If Loyola beats VCU does that move VCU out of the field or would it be a bid steal by the winner of tomorrow?

They would fall into the category of all these other bubble teams

10 would mean OSU is in, which would be pretty damn surprising.

Agree. Can't imagine OSU is in, but I still think that comment bodes well for IU.

Every year, I have a "Doomsday scenario" involving a team(s) I don't like making some crazy run and getting to bask in it while I wallow in the misery of being an IU basketball fan. Back in the day, those scenarios usually revolved around UK during their run of Calipari super-teams. More recently, they've featured Purdue. The scenarios often require a decent amount of dumb luck and fortunate breaks, but the scenarios themselves still exist no matter how silly they might seem now or in hindsight.

Anyway, with the news of the Cooper Flagg injury the other day, here's my Doomsday prediction for this year: Purdue gets placed in the same region as Duke, manages to reach the Sweet 16, and either gets a wounded Duke team that's still missing Flagg, or worse, the 8/9 seed that beat the wounded Duke team in the second round.

Maybe Duke would still handle them even without Flagg. Maybe Purdue gets beat in the first round by somebody like High Point. I don't know...but after last year, I don't think I could handle another deep Purdue run.

Hypothetically if IU was the last team in the field the AAC final ends late like the B1G and there will be a chance of a bid steal if Memphis loses could push IU out at the latest possible time

The only rationale that ties into the injury comment he made could be, wasn’t OSU without one of their top players for a significant amount of time?

Reports late this afternoon say Flagg will be good to go for the Big Dance.

I saw that Jon Scheyer "hopes" he will be back for the tourney.
