Post-event Nike honors named to first team:

RJ DAVIS

Team: Renaissance (NY)

EYBL Atlanta Statistics: 21.5 PPG, 58.7 FG%,  66.7 3PT% (12-18), 90.9% (20-22), 3.5 RPG, 4.5 APG, 2.8 SPG, 2.2 TOPG (3-1)

Year: Junior (2020)

Height: 6-foot

RJ Davis debuted for the Renaissance (NY) in style at EYBL Atlanta. The 6-foot junior torched the nets en route to averages of 21.5 points and 58.7 percent shooting from distance. Davis led the EYBL in 3-point shooting during the opening session, and his ability to consistently knock down shots is huge for the Ren's developing offense. Davis' presence on the court improves the play Kuminga, Tabor, Morton, and the rest of the supporting cast, and the 6-foot- junior should continue to be a threat to land on All-EYBL teams as the season progresses. Head coach Andy Borman was thrilled with his point guard's play.

"Probably the most efficient guard coming out of that first session," said Borman. "Extremely reliable on the ball helping to run the show, but also excels as a scoring guard. Very impressed with his production on the defensive side of the ball. Looking for him to continue this level of play moving forward."

Named to second team:

NIMARI BURNETT

Team: Team WhyNot (CA)

EYBL Atlanta Statistics:  23.8 PPG, 49.2 FG%, 20-24 FT, 3.8 RPG, 3.2 APG, 1.8 SPG, 3.0 TOPG

Year: Junior (2020)

Height: 6-foot-3

Nimari Burnett used the opening session to continue his all-out attack on the EYBL competition. Since joining the EYBL halfway through last season, Burnett has excelled as a go-to-guy for Team WhyNot, and he was firing on all cylinders in Atlanta. WhyNot ended the session with a 3-1 record against some stiff competition, and Burnett was a big reason why. The 6-foot-3 junior averaged 24 points per game while shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor, and was consistently a lockdown defender. Look for Burnett to continue his success alongside fellow top 40 guards Addison Patterson and Devin Askew.
