Still not sure why them being good last year has anything to do with this years team having a rough opening weekend.

Yes, the EYBL is viewed as the better circuit.

This was the second weekend of events for adidas.  In the opening weekend, the Indiana Elite squad went 3-1.

 

TJD and Brooks played for Indy Heat '18 on the Nike circuit.  Armaan Franklin played on '18 MeanStreets on Nike with Brandon Newman.

The '18 Indiana Elite (adidas) team featured Alex Hemenway, Cobie Barnes, Jeremiah Francis, MIchael Moreno.  It only lost 3 games and it only featured 1 player playing Up and he's not on this year's Indiana Elite roster.

Phinisee played on the 2017 Indiana Elite on the adidas circuit along with C. J. Fredrick who committed to Iowa.  Mekhi Lairy also.  This squad was not a dominating team and was only 2-6 in the April Evaluation Peiod.

Nike weekend summaries.  Missing a couple of games but at this point I'm doubtful those stats will get posted.   Furst playing much better than I expected.  I watched a number of his high school games last year and I thought he would struggle in AAU ball but that's certainly not the case.  On the other hand, Kiyron Powell is only averaging 10 min./game and isn't performing all that well.

Maybe Morton is better in a structured system rather than the free flowing AAU basketball. That’s my best guess.

Haven’t watched any of Pack yet. Have watched a couple of Saunders’ games on YouTube. Couple of things stand out: wow, is he quick, particularly laterally. Can really defend on the ball. Handle is college-ready. Seemed very much pass-first, though 1 announcer mentioned he had led them in scoring the previous game. Regret missing his game against Cole Anthony in the Geico event. Curious how tall he really is.

Can anyone decipher these when looking at these stats from an iPhone? I always hate skipping over these posts because all the stats get jumbled. I never get on the site on a PC so that might be the fix
