Interesting stat....38 of 70 points were by first year IU players.  13 by Phinsee, 11 by Fitzner, 14 by Langford.  Kinda' need more from the experienced players.  Durham, Green, and Smith had 7 between them, 3-12 from the floor, 1-6 from the line.   Not gonna' get it done.

Nor am I. I was with purdue cause i watched it. Looks like we simple could not close again from following on my phone.

Sadly would not have needed a .500 record for the dance this year. They still have minnesota and ohio state in.

Do everyone a favor. Stop bitching when you don't watch. It's one thing to gripe when you do watch a miserable performance but quite another when you ***** having not even watched. I don't hate your posts as much as some I'm sure but have a shred of self awareness will ya?

I just got done watching the game on DVR....give me a ******* break!!!  It’s unreal how we lose.

Had our chances, twice up 5 with the ball, 2 bad 3 pointers.  Up 3, missed layup.  Numerous missed free throws, including Rob’s to put us up 4.  And yet Iowa can throw up and hit multiple fade away off balance 3s to win.

Loved the defense for the most part. felt like Rob grew up tonight, in spite of a few bad shot selections, but I liked his aggressiveness and it was no coincidence that our OT went downhill when he went out.

Juwan had great blocks but really hurt us with his 3rd foul early in the 2nd half when we were on a run.  And like his 2nd foul, it was a dumb one.  Kudos to him for not getting his 4th though when he came back in.

Archie coached his butt off and his zone adjustments and movement were very good.  He also was all over the refs so we can just stop with he doesn’t work them.

Don’t believe Smith played in the 2nd half and don’t think we missed him. Too bad we don’t have enough guard depth to not play Devonte either.  His first half turnover where he dribbled too fast, half jumped for a shot and then dribbled again is him in a nutshell, too fast tries to be too fancy and just isn’t smart.  He was begging to turn the ball over on the final possession of regulation with all those spin moves.  And I know there were at least 4 bad “I’m getting mine” shots that didn’t go in.

We play hard and make free throws, we could make a run in the BTT.  If we don’t, the future is bright with a little house cleaning and maturity.

1-6 from the line? Whew. Not gonna get it done, indeed.

Green 1-4, Durham 0-2.  I am biting my lip hard to avoid commenting on Green again.

It's my fault.

I completely forgot there was a game tonight and made the mistake of turning it on when I saw we had a 4 point lead with 2 minutes left, somehow thinking it would end differently than it did.

I should have remained happily apathetic for about 10 more minutes.

Yep. Thompson, Morgan, and Davis starting and then getting some decent play from Fitzner, Forrester, & McRoberts made Smith expendable.

Free throw shooting is the one facet I completely put at the feet of the players.  Archie doesn't need to teach them to shoot FT's, but must insist they deliver at the line - improve or get limited minutes.

When everybody sucks that’s an empty threat. You have to make them. His teams are consistently garbage he needs to do something different.

I think Romeo should stay one more year. I think he should definitely test the waters and get feedback but no way will he play significant minutes next year in the NBA. I mean if his ultimate goal is to just be on a NBA team then go. But if he wants to play in the NBA he needs to stay. His list of things he needs to improve on grows each game.

Is his shooting going to get better here though?

I can’t decide if I wanna be completely upset, angry, frustrated or just shrug my shoulders and know this just isn’t a very good team, realize it is what it is at this point, and know that we are most likely going to see a heck of a change in our roster next year. I certainly appreciate the effort they are giving, but I think I’ve come to the point, even before this game, that the losses aren’t gonna ruin my day like that have in the past. With all that has gone on here lately with the team, it’s just become expected unfortunately. I’m not giving up on their efforts moving forward and will definitely keep watching like it’s my religion, but here’s to hoping next year’s team breathes new life and serves a purpose greater than themselves, which I can for sure see happening.
I got upset after purdue and realized what difference does it make. The season will be over by friday of the btt regardless.

I’m not exactly sure where you “when everybody sucks” is coming from cause the stat sheet says JMO 2/3, Romeo 4/5, Rob 3/4, Davis 2/4 from the line, and DG 1/4, Al 0/2. So 2 out of the 6 players shot horribly from the line; but everybody sucks?
If you are so negative about IU basketball, why don’t you try something else for a little while. You are catching flack from 2 different sites on your comments about the game.
