Well perhaps if FTs had been addressed ever this wouldn’t have happened
That's pretty easy for you. You're better than that. I get it but come on. For the record I agree with you more often than not..... Just not in this instance. What can a coach make 5 more of the for them? Had this continued all season maybe I'd agree with you but the FT % has improved so no I won't.

Once we got to OT, I knew we were cooked. ... That last play of regulation was abysmal. To have Romeo stand out there and dribble for 25 seconds then chuck up a step-back 3 ... Sheesh!

I don't have an issue with him not passing, but his shot was terrible. They got the switch they wanted and he had Garza on him. He should never pass in that situation but should attack him off the dribble and get to the rim. He can get a step back 3 against anybody

Man I saw it coming bohanon wasn’t going quietly! And to all social media, this one wasn’t on the coaches, wasn’t on the players, wasn’t on the refs, tonight was just tonight and a lot of it had to do with was luck! Unfortunately we got the bad side of it tonight, and bohanon did a voodoo/ dark magic/ deal with the devil/ trance with the 3pt gods to hit that many contested well defended 3s. It absolutely blows my mind how he does it and it’s not just against us!

It was good to see that we can lose under different circumstances than the usual.  Archie is finally showing that he can adjust.

*this will get zero likes on this board but try to convince me that I'm wrong.  This is a pattern that you don't want to see.

What I want to see the rest of this year is the same effort that's shown up these last two games. If they lose out all like this so be it. Last couple games have felt like a kick in the nuts but I've accepted we're not making the tournament. Disappointing given our talent but it's not happening. For the future of this team and Archie, it is vital that they keep this effort and build a culture.

Make a pass. Make two. Make three. Get it to JuMo down low for a scoop and maybe he gets fouled. When the ball never leaves one player's hand, it's too damn easy to defend. Even if you want Romeo to take the  shot, have him pass, then get the ball back to him. ... I HATE it when final sequences are run like that.

I would love to know the percentage of times that having one person pound the ball for twenty or more seconds and then taking the shot works in college.  I agree with you...too easy to defend and drives me crazy.  You get to nearly the end of regulation tied by passing the ball around and then decide it is now a good idea to dribble, dribble, dribble.

There were several things beyond our control for this loss, but there were some things we did (or didn't) do that prevented us from winning:

Mediocre FT shooting as usual.  When Al got fouled on the layup after the steal, then missed both free throws I'm not so sure I wouldn't have taken him out of the game immediately.  I really like Durham, but the players need to get the message that it's up to them to improve from the line.

Rob P is going to be a big asset to this program, and I thought he played pretty well, but he's got to finish better.  He gets to the rim often, but misses too many lay ups.

I was glad to see Archie getting on the refs.  They did us no favors with the whistles.

Overall we weren't perfect but didn't deserve to lose.

Finally Race was pretty dang effective for a guy getting significant minutes for the first time.

It's not just this game or this year though.  Miller's teams are always horrible from the line, always.  That's a trend and he hasn't figured out how to fix it.

I mean, honestly we weren’t going to run the table anyway, so we didn’t lose anything bigger picture on this night.

I feel bad for the team because you could tell they really wanted this game. They played a fantastic game. Sure there were mistakes. It’s clear, Phinisee is capable of much more than he typically contributes. He just needs confidence and the green light to just drive to the hoop and shoot open 3s. He is Yogi-esque (no not saying he is Yogi).

It’s clear to me: when Phinisee plays dialed in like tonight, IU is much better. Green is kind of a cancer. Yea, he makes some shots sometimes but he just turns it over and you KNOW it’s coming, and it usually does. He also takes bad shots and is lazy with his passes, no fundamentals. But we all know that by now. Hope his role is somehow very minimal next year (unfortunately, it won’t be)

Race is one helluva solid rebounder. Like what I saw from him tonight! Davis and Morgan looked like the steady upperclassmen that they are. Al seemed a little off tonight. Less Smith tonight which was nice to see.

How about Evan?! Bout freakin time he made a basket or two.

Clearly Archie made crisp passing a priority and it was obvious to me and the difference was apparent.

Thought we executed nicely all game until the last 3 min of regulation and overtime. I think we were mentally and physically gassed.

Excited to have Phinisee, Al, Davis, and Race back for next year. Everyone else...meh..lol.

Josh you aren't wrong. It's just the negativity that wears on people the same as the sunshine pumpers. I will give you a one up though....at least you care enough to question things as opposed to the alternative.
