We are a bad team period. Rob P has a long ways to go. His decision making is not good

We're not a bad team, we've had a bad stretch of games. I expect us to improve throughout the season like we did last year. We're getting players back from injury and trying to find a rotation that works. We're not a finished product right now but it's only November.

We were down 24 at halftime, we're down 21 right now. Kentucky lost by 34. Obviously Duke has taken their foot off the gas this half, but still. Our team could've quit after the first half they had, but they played hard in the second half. That's a positive sign.

Really?? I love Ro, and want him to be successful at IU, but I’m not taking him #5 if I’m an NBA GM with those numbers. Honestly, no bias, you’d take Romeo over guys like Happ and Rui Hachimira?

Happ isn't really a good NBA prospect. He's also 3 years older than Romeo. Hachimira is close as a prospect but doesn't have the same ceiling Romeo has.

The point is having elite NBA talent does not make a team unbeatable, especially when freshmen dominated. Duke hasn’t even played a road game yet.

Ok? Last years team didn’t have elite NBA talent. They won’t lose several games this year. I feel plenty confident saying that. Marvin Bagley at best is the third best player on this team. Not all talent is created equal. There are 2 franchise altering talents on that team. That is the best collection of top talent I have seen in my life one the same team. Then they have another kid that will be solid starter or rotational player in the NBA. Honestly I hope they stay healthy. It’s fun watching them play.

I'm going to wait to fully evaluate this team until I see the team we thought we would have. We've been missing four either starting or rotational players for most of the season. Effort and ball security issues are concerning but can be fixed once we get some continuity with our lineups.

Romeo has looked the complete opposite of what I was hoping for in this game

I mean this in the best way possible, but Romeo is just too “nice” to be a program changer alone. I know it’s his personality and humble is admirable. But you almost have to have an edge to you to really enforce your will on an opponent and take a game over. I just don’t see a killer instinct.

He shouldn't be asked to do what he's doing and the other players have to move.  It's not all on him.  If Green were any good at all as a point guard, RP wouldn't have so much pressure on him.  Same kid who played great against Marquette.   Everything was off tonight...Phinisee was just one cog in that wheel.

That video of Green hitting 13 3’s in a row during their warmups was pretty cool...

Would have been nice if he hit some that mattered. Lol in all seriousness the sky isn't falling. A p*ss poor effort is frustrating for sure. I love Archie but he didn't have this team ready. Part of that is on injuries and part of it is the fact that Duke is legit. College basketball has three of the best teams I've seen in a long long time (Duke, Kansas, Gonzaga) I think Tennessee and Nevada are loaded. It is very top heavy this year. That being said...this team has a long way to go. I'm not losing sleep because I knew this would be a loss. This team and program just isn't there yet. They need a good week of preparation and practice. Two B1G games and two power non-conference games coming up. I think all four are must wins to get the season going back in the right direction.
