I also remember an announcer correctly saying the next play would probably be a pass because a certain player came off the field.  You know opposing coaches would've picked up on a tendency like that.

Not sure.  They ran an RPO.  So depending on what the defense was giving them pretty much dictated what Ramsey did.  When Scott was in I would imagine the defense tried to contain the 5 yards a carry he averaged and therefore forced Ramsey's/DeBord's hand.  With the exception of the MSU game IU was able to run the ball somewhat effectively (Not world beaters but average), considering.  Stevie Scott was really one of the major bright spots on the offense this season.  He and Whop really impressed me this season.   And Scott's only a freshman.  I hope he's able to improve during the off season. 

I was also impressed with the improvement from Ramsey as well.  Peyton was a sophomore and hopefully next year he's able to take that step to the next level.

Our expectations are unfortunately very low as a program - Until McRobbie goes I think football will be in the cellar. I hate to say it but other than improving the stadium we have shown nothing in the way of commitment to winning as a university. 

The only silver lining is Allen is recruiting well. However, another season of not bowling likely will have a negative effect towards that. 2019 is SO CRUCIAL. If we don't hire some competent coordinators there is no way I see us getting to 6 wins. We failed miserably in the 2nd half of games this year and we know the second half is all about adjustments. The teams aren't getting any easier with our schedule set up the way it is. 

Anyone opposed to bringing back Matt Canada as an OC? I have to think Maryland hires a new HC and rids itself of everyone associated with the Durkin era. Not sure on DC front but a couple staffs will be looking for new homes after this season.

East Carolina just fired its football coach -- Scottie Montgomery. He failed miserably there, but had a pretty good run as an assistant at Duke (the last few as OC), including helping to beat us in the Pinstripe Bowl. ... He might be one of those guys who's more suited to be a coordinator than a head man (kinda like CTA). I'm assuming someone will snap him up pretty soon. I wonder if we'd have any interest? Or if he'd have any interest in us? That is, if we pull the plug on DeBord. My guess -- even if did that and were interested, we probably couldn't pay him enough. ... I would love to see an offense, where if we're facing a third and 8, we actually throw a 9-yard pass. Or maybe even a 10- or 15-yard pass. Because when you do the simple math, throwing a 5- or 6-yard pass on third and 8 leaves you short of the distance required to achieve a first down.

Still nice to see a program make the big move to try to improve their program...

And they hired the Auburn OC yesterday. He was also conveted by Tenn. The fact that Debord is still here doesn't look good.
