Such an embarrassing game. How the hell are we supposed to win 6 games? Let alone win just 5?

Because they’ve already got 4? IU is probably not going to beat Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan or Iowa. We knew that coming into today’s game. But Minnesota, Maryland and Purdue are winnable. We also knew that coming into today’s game. Nothing has changed for IU’s trajectory to a bowl game

Except being within one score of Rutgers. This game was more concerning than last week's loss to MSU. Rutgers is terrible but looked formidable against IU today.

Teams can stack the box and take away the run between the tackles because Indiana is incapable of stretching the field.  That's just the truth, and I know the 3-4 guys who will disagree; and more will blame DeBord; but this is not solely his problem.   He is dealing with half a playbook and a passer who's just not that accurate on a consistent basis unless he's hitting short throws or wide open receivers.    Indiana is limited, simple as that.

Allen had a horrible game today.  WAY too conservative in the 2nd half.  That's on Allen, not DeBord.

I agree on Ramsey but today DeBord was awful

Maryland has shown themselves to be better than us with a win over Texas. Purdue looks better than us and have a win over Boston College. Minnesota does suck. So there is a 5th win.

Purdue lost at home to Eastern Michigan. They also lost to Northwestern who looks like garbage outside of beating Purdue. But sure, their one win over a team that shouldn't have ever sniffed the top 25 makes them better than us

Another game of Ramsey throwing the ball downfield, another take by Old Friend saying that he can't do it. I'll take it.

This concerns me a lot more than anything to do with Ramsey. I want to like the guy, but to me he just seems like he's in over his head. Not kicking the field goal on 4th and 9 was ridiculously dumb, and accepting a penalty on 3rd down after an incomplete pass earlier in the game was questionable as well. On top of all that, we've come out flat in all five games so far.

Purdue is much better than their record. Sorry to say so, but we all kind of know that.

Based on what? Not like they've had a hard schedule so far.

When did he accurately throw it down field? Is your down field 10 yards? Not trying to be a jerk just asking because if that's your baseline for down field then ok.

He's not going to bomb it 50 yards, he can't do that.  He's hit 15-20 yards plenty of times, but we love to live within 5 yards.  THAT'S my issue.

That's exactly my issue too. I don't expect him to consistently make 35-40 yard passes. He can't do that. But like you said, he can hit 15-20 yard passes just fine. It would open up the running game too. There's no reason for the playbook to be as limited as it is but the staff refuses to open it up beyond 5 yards. It's really frustrating to watch because while he's limited as a passer, he's not as limited as the staff makes him out to be.

Your eyes clearly do not function properly.   He took two shots in the first half and threw both out of bounds, 6 feet over receivers' heads.   He didn't really try other than that; and no, hitting a stationary receiver sitting alone in a hole in a zone doesn't count.  My 14 year old can make that throw.

Seriously....what are you watching??    You were one of the 3-4 guys I was talking about.   Do you have an objective cell in your brain?
