I think he was implying Morgan might get some offers that were too good to pass up not that Archie would push him out of IU.

I know that seemed a ridiculous thought. Will have to learn to read between the lines alittle better.

Lol, the likely NBA option might force his decision not to return to IU, not Cam. I think people believed that Juwan would have test the waters anyways without the NBA checking in on him or inquiring about him but the fact they were inquiring made it an easy decision. The honest truth is at season end there were multiple teams that wanted to get a closer look.

Curious what his NBA option is? He's not getting drafted and I doubt he'd get a 2-way contract. Teams want to get a closer look at tons of players that will never sniff the NBA.

Well I am a life long IU fan. New to following these threads in the last few months. The Romeo thread was very entertaining and great to know there are people out there with knowledge to learn from. As for Morgan, I’m glad he has interest but not going through the process since it’s available would be crazy. I hope he’s back with the team, but if he finds a way into the league all the best to him.. Thanks for the help.

What options would he have now that won't be there next year barring an injury? He can only elevate his stock at this point it would seem. To me the only option he wouldn't be able to turn down at this point would be money if that is in fact something that he is in a hurry to acquire.

He doesn’t have an NBA option at this time basically. They like him, but realize he doesn’t have one elite skill that would translate to the NBA. All the scouts think he should go back to college.

I don't disagree with your assessment, but are your statements more than your own personal feeling?

Completely agree, just wanted to hear where RealIU was on it or what he’s has to say on it.

So you trust Rabby, who has no real NBA insider info, barely has IU info. The truth is Juwan has either worked out or is been requested to workout for as of now 7 NBA teams and guess what he has no agent! Let’s just say there is a reason I’m know this and will continue to know information similar for years to come.

I believe you have info and will continue to have info.

The real question is, are these teams telling him they want to draft him? It behooves these teams to take a look at as many quality players as they can.

I love Juwan and think he will have a long professional career if he is willing to travel. Is he willing and ready for Euro leagues right now? That’s the most important question.

Yes, I do. He talks to scouts. Why lie about information like that?

I’m sure he does have 7 workouts or so. Robert Johnson has a few too, and he has no shot at getting to the league.

Like Wayne said, I’m sure they like Juwan. But even without Rabjohns info you can tell that Juwan’s game doesn’t currently translate to the NBA. If he could shoot it might be a different story

I don’t want to say his game doesn’t translate. That’s not what I’m saying, just think he down the list and “wanted” less than others.

The NBA is VERY hard to make. And VERY hard to stay. So me thinking he doesn’t make a roster is no indictment of him. I’m rooting for Juwan no matter what he decides. He seems like a good dude and busts his tail.

What I’m saying is, Juwan is basically a 6’8 low post scorer right now. That doesn’t fare well at all in the NBA. Especially with his athleticism compared to others.

If he developed more of a shot and could guard NBA 3s he would be much more attractive.

Well I will just leave this here, maybe Rabby reports whatever he chooses, but when it comes to the NBA information without getting specific I can assure you that I am 4 times maybe more informed and in the know than most. Rabby gets paid to feed his sheep info. I get paid to be informed and give info to those that make the final decisions. Quick FYI, what was Archie’s take on scholarships?

Look, I’m just bringing info to the board. I follow Rabby because he has good information at times. That doesn’t make everyone who follows him “sheep”.

I have no idea who you are. You may be connected, I don’t know. All I know is that he posted info on Juwan from what he is being told.

And what? No idea what that has to do with this.

Sounds good. So in your expert/paid opinion, do you think Juwan will get drafted if he doesn’t comeback?

The second part about scholarships. Would you care to share more? I can’t make the connection to the point being made.

Some things on these workouts. They are much more important than the combine, so I’ll agree with RealIU there, in that Juwan having a bunch of workouts is good news for him as it’s a real chance to get face time with these organizations, get noticed and get feedback. It’s one of the best ways to get a summer league invite, etc.

With that said, teams usually have 4-6 guys per workout. I believe there’s a limit but can’t remember the number. Typically teams have 2-3 guys they’re serious about drafting or at least learning more about up close in each workout, then the other 3-4 guys are filler to make it a complete workout. If you’re one of the filler guys, it doesn’t mean they don’t care or aren’t watching you, or that it’s not an opportunity for you to get noticed, it’s just that you were mostly invited to round out the workout. I’m also not suggesting the teams call them up and actually say, “hey we need some fillers, want to swing by and workout?”

My guess is that Juwan is mostly a filler guy in these workouts. Again, not a bad thing for him at all, and it doesn’t mean he can’t draw some eye balls, get great feedback, or even get a summer league invite out of it, etc.

I love the fact there's so many different people on this board; different backgrounds, different professions, different personalities, and different posting styles. I don't like the way certain people post or agree with what they post but it gives life through a different lens.

We're all Hoosiers here and want the best for the program, school, and people associated with it.

I believe Archie said he doesn't want to use all the scholarships and likes to leave one open.
