-Johnson played too much.

-No second half changes

-We didn't pick up full court press when down -20+, and no shot to win without uptempo.

-We didn't game plan to keep their 2 key scorers shut down.

- our offensive flow is terrible.

-we were abused on everything on D.

 

I have faith Archie will do well still over time but he didn't have a good game either. Never stopped the run in the 1st half before it got unreasonable.

We watched different games. I was watching guys getting yanked for stupid play. Did they get back in? Yes, but then yanked again when they messed up.  I also saw Al come in and stay in bc he was willing to fight.

So.. in your opinion, a coach needs to get 18-23 year old basketball players ready mentally to play a game that they're on scholarship to do in the first place?

You honestly believe that just hadn't talked at all about matching ISUs intensity or anything along those lines?

We did stop the run in the first half.. we called a TO.
We didn't game plan to keep their best two players from scoring... c'mon man. Be real. I mean, you can't honestly believe that
Other than that, you're stating just what happened during the game.. You aren't giving specifics about how Archie could have been better

Wow--that was ugly. Embarrassing defeat. Get well SOON Hartman. Young guns--get up to speed fast because there is plenty of playing time for you ahead if the veterans don't step it up. Darius and Romeo--we need your help in BTown! Still early--but we are better than this --Archie will get us going!

Clifton Moore has looked descent in the first two games when we played so for him to not get more playing time has to be an effort or attitude issue in practice

Im starting Davis, Morgan, and Al next game. The other 2 spots are up for grabs by anyone other than Johnson or Green. They both start on the bench and have a shirt leash when they get in. They have to earn the right for extended minutes.

IU played bad, but ISU played out of their mind. It’s one game and let’s see how the team reacts to this embarrassing loss. Hell after one game last year, I thought possible final four. It’s a long season and won’t be defined by this one game. Some players are going to have to step up... let’s wait a few games before we start overreacting to this bad performance. Hopefully it lights a fire under this team.
