I think we've all felt suspicious about NCAA basketball for a while. Those that have been skirting the rules need to be ferreted out and punished - no matter who they are or what school they're associated with. Quote

mdn82 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 To add on I think when Crean got KJ I think it was a dirty move and we started getting players that I don't think were clean. You are pulling in an AAU coach that is used to shady environments asked to pull in recruits now. I don't believe for a minute he was clean while he was here. Also why I think he was gone quick. He could make more money being slimy elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Class of '66 Old Fart, Tom White and Stuhoo 3 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Finally. The day has come. I hope this truly leads to cleaning this crap up. It's been dirty so long. Back to UNLV and the fab five in particular but probably longer. It was SO obvious to everyone. The NCAA knew it. Now finally something will hopefully fix it. Wonder how many 2018 recruits have been paid already? I remember 250k talks about Anthony Davis. Lyle's Mustang. Webber got busted for 200k. Bluiett supposedly had his parents house paid off. Well........Crean is cleaner than most but probably not all the way clean as we can imagine. Kenny Johnson hire. Some of the Indiana Elite stuff. I think we will dodge these bullets but Crean was getting desperate there for a bit and that worries me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners VO5, Stuhoo, Jam and 3 others 6 Quote
Popular Post Hoosierfan2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2017 I read a rumor that IU paid $10k to a player named in FBI documents as "MSB" to flip to IU from the University of the Incarnate Word. WayneFleekHoosier Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 If I was a UK, Duke, Kansas fan in particular I'd be very worried. The NCAA covers for them but this is above the NCAA. Here's to hoping. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Crimson and Cream and thebigweave 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 You gotta believe that since it's FBI and not the NCAA, people aren't going to be willing to fall on their swords and will be only too happy to start talking and cutting deals with the FBI. And what do you think happens when the FBI shows up at the doorstep of Bruce Bowen's parents and starts asking questions? I don't think too many parents/guardians that have involvement are going to be willing to sacrifice themselves. pumpfake, Hoosierfan2017 and BGleas 3 Quote

The NCAA has turned a blind eye to a lot of things for a number of years. Is it really any surprise that another agency had to step in to start righting this ship? Quote
