I don't think people hate IU, rather I think they are ambivalent towards IU. Sometimes when our rabid fan base confronts this ambivalence it ends up looking like they don't like IU.

We haven't been relative on a national scale on a consistent basis since the early 90's. The fans know we can get back there but most of those guys only look at the results.

Louisville is the obvious choice because they are both the local team and have had much more success than we have. Duke and UK makes sense for some because they get most of who they want.

If you go by what his parents have said it seems that Louisville and U.K. would not fit but who knows if they are just talking or if those thoughts will dictate decisions

IU won't gain back respect until they actually do something on a national scale. It's not rocket science

That's not how it will work out though.

If Rob commits, I am pretty certain he will have to be told we aren't getting another PG in the class.

It's the whole domino thing. No way IU takes 2 sub 6' PGs in one class.

I think we would take Garland and RP. Garland would play the first two years. RP is not going to be ready to contribute till his junior year. I think even if RP is next which is probably true I think you will see us recruit over him next year if we can as in Cole Anthony

RP won't contribute till his junior year is your opinion that not everyone shares. Luckily for RP he has head coaches of high major teams that is telling him they want him to come in and contribute right away. If you were RP and a team says we want you to commit but we won't think you are ready until your junior year or a team tells you that you are going to play year 1, which one would u choose? This is why in my opinion there is 0 chance both will ever suit up for IU at the same time. IU might be willing to take them both but is the player willing to sit and wait until in your opinion 2 years before he is ready. Regardless of who is pg in 2018 if IU is serious about Cole Anthony then they should be worried about being over recruited because Anthony in my opinion is better then all of them

Yes you are correct it is my opinion that he won't be ready to contribute till his junior year but I will say hearing things from people close to the program helped me form my opinion on RP. I also hope I'm proven wrong. Also agree Anthony is the best in the bunch.

Why is it everytime we lose a recruit we lose them to a big ten school where they are our worst nightmare for 4 years?

If we lose RP, I don't think he will haunt us for 4yrs. Personally I think we will recruit better PG's. He is only 3rd on my list behind Garland and Akinjo.

Doesn't matter as long as we get the better player.

Thank you. People need to stop looking at the play of THAT kid and not THAT kid AND OUR guy. Say we pass on RP & get Akinjo, RP could drop 30 against us, but if Akinjo drops 31 then we got the better kid.

I believe we will get what we need at the point guard position. Everyone Coach Miller is recruiting can play. It's not like what has happened in the past. Also, once the player gets to college, coaching can make a difference.

More of a general statement. Less geared toward RP. Like we missed on Gary Harris and he beat the crap out of us every year.

Also big morning game for the tandem of Aaron Henry and Eric Hunter.  Henry with 27 pts. and 8 reb.  Hunter with 25 pts. on 9-11 FG's.

We're going to regret not taking Henry when he wanted to commit
