(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

Recommended Posts

Center Grove lost tonight at home. TJD didn’t do much. Probably single digits scoring Spencer Piercefield hit 8 threes and we still lost. Not a very good night

Just curious his numbers arent really super impressive but he is a five star. Ive never seen him play but how come he is not hetting 25 plus a night?

Trayce just posted on Twitter about sticking with our program despite rumors he is trying to leave.
I seriously hate how ridiculously stupid some of our fans can be. You should be required to meet an IQ threshold to have a social media account.

Re: fan base - I was telling one of my best friends, who is a die-hard Michigan fan, how ridiculous our fans can be at times. He was really surprised at how last night's game unfolded. I told him just to be patient: we'll be beating them again soon.

Most nights he gets doubled on every touch. Some triple team him like last night. He kicks it out to open shooters. Piercefield had 8 threes last night and most of them were because of the attention TJD gets. He could probably be more assertive in spots but averaging 21 isn’t a bad thing

I actually hadn't heard or seen said rumors. If they'd been really widespread they would have made it to this board. Maybe they were more local, possibly floating around CG.

USPS, had you heard anything like that locally? Either way I suppose it doesn't matter. Can't wait to see him Striped.

This. I was at the game last night and LN had a great game plan against TJD and double/triple teamed him as soon as he touched the ball. CG's guards were struggling to even get a look inside to him to start with. As "bad" as a game as he had last night he had 17, 15, and 6 blocks. He's not gonna draw that type of attention at the next level and will be able to contribute A LOT next year.

The fact that TJD had to post his statement on Twitter is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen! For people who have no clue what they are talking about to start spreading that crap are not IU fans imo! Freakin social media!

So agree lol! Wanna take a guess at how many coaches in the last two searches wasn't interested in the job not because of the facilities, recruiting grounds, money, conference, notoriety but because of how bad our fanbase is? I don't know, but I bet there were a few! And good ones at that.

Twitter in general is filled with garbage. I try and avoid it these days.

From and Indy Star article discussing Indiana all-stars.

Trayce Jackson-Davis, Center Grove: The 6-9 Indiana recruit is the lone McDonald’s All-American on the list. Jackson-Davis is averaging 21.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.3 blocked shots per game and is shooting 59.7 percent from the field for the 12-5 Trojans. He was a core Junior All-Star last season, averaging 22.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.7 blocked shots for a sectional championship team.

Warren Central over Center Grove 68 - 54.  TJD with 31 of CG's 54 pts.  He also had 13 reb.  I was only able to watch bits and pieces of the second half but did hear the announcers comment that he had missed 4 FT's and that was early in the 3rd period.  Sounded like WC basically controlled the entire game.

Wow, to get beat by Warren Central?  Who would have thought?  LOL
