Walking Boot of Doom Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Is this kid a starter for us next year? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appSeems like he and RP are possibly going to fill immediate needs, depending on departures. I’d hope that Justin Smith was performing well enough to win the spot over him, but they both may be needed honestly. bigrod Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Maybe. RP hunter, and Anderson will all play I know that Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk My guess is that all see fairly significant playing time. If Hunter can get there defensively, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him starting. I think we need Anderson’s outside shooting, and we obviously need a point, but I would think Green or Al would start. I think CAM wants to have a longer team out there next year, so it’ll be interesting to see what combinations will be on the floor together. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app I feel RP will definitely get significant playing time if nothing more than Archie wants a true point guard running his offense. Minutes for Hunter/Anderson/Thompson may depend upon what, if any, additional roster turnover we have after this season ends. While there's reason for optimism, we can't forget they will be freshmen and it's a big step up from high school to D1. Iugradman and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Popular Post WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 25, 2017 I don't think AL will start. I'd be a bigger fan if his shooting was better. He is smart. He takes the right shots. He doesn't force. He drives fairly well. I just have very little confidence in his shooting and so do the other teams. NOT to compare the two; Vic is a far more explosive athlete. But like Vic, Al (IMO) has a little bit of "it" factor, and I would be shocked if he is not part of Archie's future plans for the guard rotation. MoyeNeeded, MIUGA, MikeRoberts and 1 other 4 Quote

I think percentage wise they would be closer if Al had the self awareness Vic had as a Freshman. Vic knew he wasn’t a good shooter yet and was getting in the lane. IMO, Al should have the same gameplan of Vic of playing in the lane. We need shooters but we can’t force what isn’t there.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Class of '66 Old Fart, WayneFleekHoosier and MIUGA 3 Quote
