Neither is considered a first round prospect according to mock drafts that have been done by espn and nbadraft.net as of right now.

They both have a few years of eligibility left. Add them, the two incoming recruits and the Lawson bros I don't see how everyone is happy there.

I'll add this too: Bill Self really hasn't had too many one and dones. Wiggins, Embiid, and Josh Jackson. Seems like he has had a lot of busts. Josh Selby, Xavier Henry, Diallo, etc... He takes chances on guys like Thomas Robinson who are role players at first and then develop into All-Americans. It works, just I think it hurts their case with Romeo.

Someone is guaranteed to leave because they are already over signed by one. Even if Vick and Newman both left that would still be a lot of guys that would be wanting the basketball imo. I don't think that would benefit Romeo at all.

Azuibuke wouldn't make any sense imo. He is a center in a draft that I loaded with bigs. Next year he could be a guaranteed first rounder this year he would be lucky to get drafted but who knows.

Had a sincere conversation with UofL educated Kentucky fans a few weeks back. Respectfully asked them if they truly believed Cal was clean. They all emphatically replied yes. Even despite the violations at Umass and Memphis? Yes. Even despite the absurd recruiting classes? Yes. Even despite the current FBI investigation where everyone landing 5 stars is implicated? Yes.

Cal doesn’t need to cheat they said. I had to walk away.

If Vick and/or Newman stay I think Romeo would be absurd to go to KU. With one of those guys, a Lawson, Moore, Grimes, and Dotson all commanding touches from the guard position, there’s no way they’d all be happy. Hell if they both stay there’s a chance Romeo wouldn’t even start! I know he would and all but thered be some unhappy egos if Vick or Grimes is coming off the bench.

My guess is after this run KU has had Newman will declare. He's been wanting to test the waters in the past. I can't see him staying another year. I would also think Vick stays.

I agree with this but I'm not sure Newman hires an agent. I don't think it would make sense unless his stock skyrockets which is possible but this draft class is loaded and next years might not be as deep according to the experts.

KU looks to have more shots to go around next year so maybe he sees this as the best opportunity to leave. A lot probably depends on his family situation. He could make a lot of $$$ in Europe with that jump shot.

Would they really be unhappy with $elf as their coach? They'd be handed a conference championship when arriving on campus, most likely a conference tourney title, and a 1 or 2 seed in the tourney. They would also be getting the dough, not for baking, luxury dorms, and the cops in their back pocket anytime they felt they needed to punch someone.
