Bryant has passion, there's no doubt about that, but last year he demonstrated a complete inability to control his emotions. Emotion is great when you can channel it, but he couldn't do that and it led to him being an emotional wreck on many occasions last year. I'm sure as he matures he'll get a better handle on it.

Also jump on the get off TBs back bandwagon. Kid played his heart out for us. Not his fault his coach was clueless which left him ineffective at time.
Kid cared enough to cry after the loss to UNC

I'll take a kid like that over a kid that is an unquestionable superstar but has no heart every time.

As long as it's channeled correctly. When the scouting reports say you can easily get under a player's skin and throw him off his game, that's a problem.

Eh I wasn't a fan of the complaining or whining on every call. I was vocal on that during the game threads. That was part of the culture I didn't like. Do I think kids should never complain? No, but every time a call goes against you drains your teammates and gives the refs an invitation to start making calls on you to prove a point. I wish him nothing but the best but this discussion was started by a quote he made. Onwards and upwards.

How are you a fan of today's basketball? Everyone complains for a call now. Leave the kid alone. Did he sleep with your girl or something? Sheesh. He played with passion on a team whose coach didn't know how to use him effectively. Let the kid grow. He's still only 19. How did you handle adversity at 19?

Might not agree with what was written -- and that's fine. But this is a pretty childish and sophomoric comment, IMO.

Well a counterpoint is fine even if we disagree. But then you lose credibility with idiotic comments because you can't eloquently disagree with me. This is a message board. I would hope we all didn't agree with things after an 18 win season. It's called a conversation. You should try it sometime.

I don't think anyone is questioning Thomas' passion for the game. I believe, like most 18-22 year old men, that he needs to mature. Regarding his comments about mental toughness, they had a terrible season because they did a lot of talking and little backing it up. I'm sure he knows this by saying what he did. The next step is for him to display his newfound mental toughness.

I'm wishing him all the best and a successful career. I hope he also returns and finishes his degree at some point.

I hope Johnson is back. He's a talented player and he has lots of experience. Having two seniors in our backcourt would be great, imo.

I know his season last year was pretty rough, but honestly I think last year was a waste of a season for everyone involved and so I don't draw too many conclusions from it. I don't think the Rojo we saw last year would be the one we would see this year.

On the other hand, if he is not making a change, then he has nothing to say.

True. I guess if he doesn't say anything we'll know once the draft deadline passes.

You just seem to go out of your way to argue against this kid. Not sure why. I understand you voicing your opinion, but you sure seem to want to repeat it so that everyone knows you don't like him. Reading through the posts it seemed as though you had a personal vendetta against him.

Thanks for your opinion. I'll try to bump it up to Junior level next time! At least mdn can respond here. Poor TB just gets roasted in here by mdn with no chance at responding.
