Seems like a great guy, but I'm not convinced his training methods help a basketball team given our consistent injuries. That and the fact the Tommy has to try to constantly anticipate when the players will "hit the wall" to satisfy his frenetic need to substitute. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app He must be a helluva coach with his location on the bench and interaction with the players during games. This always puzzles me; shouldn't he be sitting next to Tim Garl? Do we need any more mania on the sideline considering we already have Tommy Naismith doing Tae Bo, clap clap, pep chants, and suicides? Quote

I recall several years ago listening to an interview with Pete Rose where the interviewer asked him about the increasing number of injuries. He basically said that today's players (at that time citing Eric Davis) tended to get injured more often because they were so lean and finely tuned. He cited his own durability and attributed it to having some cushion (fat) on his bones. LOL. I think there's some truth to this, but it applies to all sports and all teams - every team's fans think they have too many critical injuries (when Mo Creek had his two fluke injuries, Hummel went through two blown out knees as an example). IU Hoosier41 Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 FWIW: I reached out to a buddy who played at NC State and is pretty connected. He hasn't heard Crean mentioned to date and the full court press is on Archie Miller (alumni) and VCU's coach. That's all he's heard so far.
