Always got to be mindful that there are plenty of people out there who would love to screw with our fanbase. Make sure the account is verified (blue and white check mark next to the name). Last month, somebody created a fake Adam Schefter twitter by spelling it "A-d-a-r-n" noting that the r and n bled together and looked like an m.

Virginia has flopped in the NCAA tournament. That is the biggest thing when it comes to NCAA basketball. There is nothing more important than the NCAA tournament. But I do think Tony Bennett would be a great hire. I think he's had a lot of success with average to above average players. At IU, he would get top notch players. And he would be able to recruit the hell out of this state. That would translate to postseason success imo

i personally wouldn't call losing to Izzo twice and boehiem last year as flopping in the tournament. I would call it a learning experience coaching against hall of famers. They controlled the game against Syracuse for a big chunk of that game. They picked a bad time to go cold and it cost them

Creans loses are almost better. Calipari, Boeheim, Ol Roy aren't the easiest coaches to get by either.

Yeah good catch but Virginia was at least in the 3 game against izzo and boehiem I felt iu wasn't really in any of the games against those teams. Just couldn't get over the hump. Virginia had a chance to win their games in the last 5 minutes.

You can't tell me that Virginia should've lost all three of those games. I can understand losing to Izzo one of those years. But Virginia was better than both of those Michigan State teams. They should've won at least one of those two meetings. And Syracuse was a disaster. No way in hell Virginia should've lost that game. Malachi Richardson went crazy in that 2nd half. But that's still no excuse to lose that game

Me neither. I guess he's a writer and a writer friend is his source. 3rd or 4th hand stuff. Interesting anyway.

Yeah I'm not going to get too excited yet. They also said Blackmon was transferring and crean was leaving for Alabama. I think the alabama one was a famous peegs inside source. Lol.

I'm saying it's no shame in losing a high level game against teams that went on to the final 4. Flopping in tournament to me means laying an egg with no chance at winning

I can understand that. But when you've been a 1 or 2 seed each of the last three tournaments and not once been to the Final Four, that's underachieving

That is true as well. I was just stating about the coaches. Those coaches are the ones that find your weakness and attack it. Crean hasnt became one of those guys which bothers me, but also not many do. The Syracuse game seemed closer than the UNC or UK game but all 3 were bad.

Best line of the article:

Crean has won two outright Big Ten titles since 2013, and he’s considered one of the best strategists and development coaches in college basketball.

Maybe in his mind …
