First let me apologize for stealing your handle.  I had been stalking this site for years but never signed up until I was forced to today in order to read the posts.  I chose Hoosier in NC as I live outside of Winston-Salem.  Second, I had a feeling NCSU was going to fire Gott and was afraid they would go after Archie, who is towards to the top of my list to replace Crean.

I'm really concerned that Glass may botch the next hire. There is literally zero precedent to suggest that he can make a big splash hire. He is a wonderful AD but I question his judgement. That Crean extension was awful and completely unnecessary. Seems that Crean finessed him into the extension. Not saying he can't make the big hire. Just saying I'm nervous bc I haven't seen him make any other big splashes outside of fundraising.

Crean would have received an extension following the 2012-13 season for winning the conference. We'd be in a worse position now if Glass didn't give him it when he did, unfortunately.

Just watched a snippet of Katz Corner. He blamed it all on the injuries and said it would be quite an accomplishment if Crean got this team to the tourney with OG and Hartman out... W.T.F

The other dude made it sound like he was going to excuse the season because of the injuries before stating Crean is 69-88 in B1G play. It ended up seeming to imply that it wasn't good enough.

My take is that he may be a bit of a tool, but that most of his shtick is just an act to keep his ratings up... kind of a PeeWee Herman meets Steven Colbert with a basketball twist.

Of course, I could be way off, too.

It's an act. There's no way he actually believes Crean is doing a great job. Or thought that Ryan Grigson was a good GM

Has the injury excuse ever been more used in sports than in Crean's time here? I'm obviously exaggerating but It gets SO old hearing "injury this, injury that". Every year good coaches have players go down with injury and it's next man up. If I never heard it again I'd be ecstatic.

PSA...41 made the site member only to read, as well. This isn't because we hate guests, but because there is a bug that has been sending mods reports from "guests" that are truly just spam. Like, 15 a day? I'd say, idk but it's linked to most of our personal emails so it was getting annoying.

He's as shrewd as they come... laying it out there and immediately discounting it... but now he's put it in your mind. I guess he thinks we're all (fans, sports media, etc) that dumb.

The worst part is when he says stuff like, "Oh Devonte, Juwan, De'Ron are all banged up. Not at all 100%. They barely practiced this week." Then they get in the game and act like their normal selves. Like what, did they brush shoulders with someone in practice?
