Can you expand on those "shady areas"?

The rape scandal and please tell me you dont find anything wrong w the Balls. He may have got him legit but that dude just gives off a bad vibe. I think Lavar is smart though if he was accepting money I doubt the NCAA would figure it out.

I think some credit has to be given to how well some of Kent State's guys are playing. Wouldn't lay it all at the feet of the defense.

Agree to disagree. I saw a team that couldn't care less about the defensive side of the ball. So many easy baskets.

I don't think this is purely on Alford and that whoever was leading UCLA at the time would have been presented with the opportunity, but I suspect the Ball brothers came with a price tag. LaVar Ball is already making statements that his sons will sign for a combined $1 billion, and he's already promoting their personal brand, Big Baller Brand. For me, there are a lot of red flags there.

This is such a great dismantling. Remember when Marquette fans warned us about Crean? Yeah, me too...

Mile on 247 just said he is working on a confirmation but he heard last night that Alford has been eliminated from contention for the IU job.

If  true---this tells me IU already has someone in mind. As an older IU alum--even if it is a homerun hire---  I hope IU at least interviews or talks to key former players to show respect and receive input. Part of smart planning to keep our fanbase united.

Glass said he would interview every alum interested in the job.

Mile also said this about Alford as well

"Alford sewed the seeds of discontent as a player at IU. Fans and friends of the program at that time have not forgotten. Too bad for Steve, is that not only have they not forgotten, but now those fans and friends have gone on to become trustees, now former trustees, and boosters with considerable influence.

Once an IU fan. Always an IU fan. Unfortunately for Steve, some of those fans are now in a position to sway some important heads. Once again.... follow the money."

Been away from the message boards for a few days due to work.

Anyone care to update me with the newest rumors about who we are targeting and who is interested in being our next coach?

Everything can be found along the right hand side of the page.  Each candidate has their own thread.

Many things are pointing to a possible Donovan hire.  Nothing concrete.

Is it still too soon after the firing or should we begin to feel some relief that we haven't yet had any player transfer announcements?  Is there more loyalty to IU than we may have thought with some of the players and they will wait to see just who the next coach is?  And finally, what was the point of FG going down and shaking FCTC's hand immediately prior to the NIT game?  In retrospect, it seems very very odd.
