Striking to me that Alex Bozich would author and print such a stinging indictment.

Must know Creans out and that sucking up will do no good.

Id like to see a comparison of our Budget with those 4 programs. We honestly might be spending more on recruiting than all 4

I did this very analysis a few years ago. We're the 5th best program in our own conference. That probably drops to 6th with the addition of Maryland. That's not good enough. If Fred Glass is okay with that position he should be gone as well. IU should be the gold standard in the B1G.

I truly believe he is taking some backlash and got into some trouble. No reason he would even risk it as a joke. They do say there is some truth to every joke. Either way joke or not obviously the word is going around campus and this brings it up even more now around the program. This kinda thing isn't good regardless for Crean.

How? Lol

Because it would be a really dumb thing to troll about and would only lead to him getting in trouble. I would hope that he has enough self-awareness to realize that, as a football player, trolling about the basketball coach getting fired would be a bad idea. He only has 1500 followers and the tweet didn't get much engagement, so it's not like it blew up and was getting attention from the media. He could've just deleted it and no one would've paid much attention to it. Coming out and saying he was just joking makes me think someone in power got in his ear about it.

I don't know if I believe everything he said regarding Billy D being hired and all of that, but I do think he knows some info about the situation that he wasn't supposed to share.

He is leaving the school as a medical hardship kid. Fuchs is also being suspended. Weird timing for all this and they both have connections to our MBB team.

The article pretty much sums up what we all know about Crean, high level talent, mid level results.    I found the comments interesting.  It seems like all that is left for Crean is every excuse.  Injuries, roster turnover, etc.  Realistically the buck stops with him.  It may be cold, but the reality is, it is his job to get wins.  Most of those calling for Crean's head would be crediting him if this current team had finished in the top 3 of the conference (something it is fully capable of) despite current injuries.  It isn't like fans expectations don't changed based on injury.  We just don't throw all the expectations into the garbage.  Even a conference title was likely out of reach when OG went down, but does that mean that fans should just accept any terrible result?  I've said for years that Crean there are a few things that Crean is not capable of doing consistently 1. Winning the games where IU is not favored in the mid to late season.  2. Winning games where his team shoots a lower % than the opponent.  3. Developing a team through the course of a season.

Does anyone have the numbers on IU's finish in the Big Ten vs. the predicted finish each season?  That would be interesting.

He's leaving the school? I thought medical hardships let you keep your scholarship after you get a career ending injury.

Wow. That is actually insane..

I've said it before, their careers aren't that different.  A few years ago the Sweet 16s were the only thing keeping them from practically being mirror images.  Davis still doesn't have the Sweet 16s but he does have more conference titles over his career, granted he's been working his way down the ladder in the process.
