Try Mississippi State then.  It's the SEC, you'll inevitably find a place that doesn't give a crap about basketball and when you find them just them them he coached DWade.  On the off chance they ask why we don't want him, lie you arse off.

Crean should have the entire starting team coming back next year since Blackmon and Bryant are not NBA ready. He needs to reach the Final Four otherwise the IU Fan base will become turncoats once again.

Blackman, Bryant and OG are not back next year imo even with crean. Bryant and OG NBA draft, and Blackman does a troy Williams and shoots for long shot NBA or Europe

Everyone said the same thing after the 2012 season "we have everyone back, time for the final 4". We had way more talent on the 2013 team than we have next year and still couldn't get past a Syracuse 2-3 zone. I'm sick of waiting for next year. I'm a Cubs fan and waited 32 years for next year. IU basketball is not a "next year" program.

Most IU fans I talked to this year thought we are at least going to another sweet 16 this year.

Even with Collin and OG going down, there's no excuse for us to not be in the dance. B1G isn't even that good.

Players and talent aren't in question. His poor coaching ability isn't in question anymore. It's a fact and this year solidified that.

As fans we're not even being that unrealistic.  We want consistency, but Crean has only ever been consistently inconsistent.  This thread wouldn't be nearly as long if his highs were a bit higher or lows not so "how the heck are you a college coach" low.

There was a time where we won 11 Conference titles in a 20 year span.......unfortunately I was either not alive or too young to appreciate that run :(

Have we got anyone from Kentucky?  Surely living in that state they'd learn to speak inbred hilljack, might be close enough to communicate with people in Mississippi.

I've been away for too long and lost my ability to speak stupid. I'm sure you can consult one of your Army buds to translate stooopid for you.

I've lived in Kentucky for 11 years. I've become fluent in all of the redneckisms.

Your mission, which you have no choice but to accept, is to convince any redneck fan base in the SEC that they do in fact want Crean as coach.  Ideally pick a fan base that truly doesn’t care about basketball, not difficult in that conference, and if they ask questions lie to the ends of the Earth; "he's a great defensive coach", "his teams place a high value on each possession", "he always takes responsibility for problems and resolves them" are all acceptable and even encouraged.

I just read a Facebook thread of Wisconsin fans upset over the "out of control" number of turnovers Bucky has had this year. "This is not Wisconsin basketball" they say.   "This carelessness cannot be accepted."  Gor perspective,  they are averaging just over 10 a game this year.   In Crean's tenure IU is averaging 14.26 per game, and has only had more assists than turnovers in 4 of his 9 seasons. Davis had such 4 seasons in his shorter stint.  I couldn't find the turnover stats for Knight coached teams,  but I'm guessing they had more assists than turnovers in at least 80% of their seasons.
