Let's go with the recruiting "star" rating for possible replacements.

5* - Stevens, Donovan
4* - Holtmann, Miller

Where would you put the others?

I would put Andy Enfield and Marshall in that 4 star range too.

Honestly I'm not too enthusiastic about Holtmann.  I mean he's a good coach and wouldn't be upset if we got him, but I just don't want him to be our first call.

We have to get a guy who is an obvious upgrade over Crean and right now, Holtmann hasn't done anything in the tournament that Crean hasn't.

Just come up with $7M/year and make Donovan or Stevens say yes.

Probably because I don't really know much about him.  I never paid any attention to Florida basketball, unless it was the NCAA Championship games they were in.  Me not doing my due diligence on him.  It's probably not a fair thing to say about him without knowing all I need too.

I would say watch 10 Butler games. He is heads and shoulders above Crean as a coach and getting better every year. Outside of Enfield and Collins I think he is the next name coach.

I've said it before, watching the IU/Butler game I would've traded Crean for him without a second thought.

I wouldn't want him to be the first call, but I'd be happy with him.  We need a tactician.

He went to what 3 finals fours at a school that cared more about its baseball team. Dude has got "it"

I think I'm in the minority here, I don't really want Marshall or Donovan.

I'm not a believer in Marshall at all but Donovan would absolutely dominate at Indiana. He did what he did at a school where basketball played 3rd fiddle behind football and baseball. He's elite. He can consistently recruit, develop, x's & o's, etc. Give him a blueblood program and he'll be consistently in Final Fours in no time.

He's also very well respected amongst the professional ranks. Imagine him recruiting now, considering what he can pitch to the elite players.

I would be beyond excited if we were lucky enough to land Billy D....Brad Stevens is my obvious #1 choice, but Billy Donovan is not far behind by any stretch of the imagination. He's a homerun hire. One of the few.
